Dear friends,

Thank you for your support, through your attendance, of the First Friday Recital and Luncheon series at First Pres. This year, we are experiencing a real winter, and that incurs prohibitive conditions. The "snowcrete" has still encased the plaza, the front steps of the church and the parking lot. The church is sorting out the least damaging way to remove the "icecrete."

With this uncommon precipitation event, coupled with weeks of arctic temperatures, we have decided to forego this month's recital and luncheon.

The next scheduled recital March 6th, circumstances permitting. We hope to see you next month.

Thank you again for supporting this recital and luncheon series at FPC!

You are cordially invited to the next First Friday Organ Recital and Light Luncheon on Friday 3 October at First Presbyterian Church in Waynesboro. Director of Music/Organist Roger Daggy will play a program of works by Bach, Mendelssohn, Vierne and Tournemire on the church's 1893 Woodberry and Harris organ beginning at 12:15, followed by a light luncheon served in the Barksdale Room.

Dear College Scholarship Applicant:
Once again First Presbyterian Church, Waynesboro will offer financial support for the continuing education of worthy students in our community. Scholarships from the Church’s Memorial Educational Fund are available for undergraduate, vocational training and nursing students. Some funds are specifically available for students pursing teaching or religious careers.
A Scholarship Selection Committee selects recipients each year for varying awards depending on funding availability and the number of applications received. Scholarships are awarded as grants, not loans.
APPLICATION DEADLINE: The Selection Committee must receive completed applications and all support information from applicants no later than Wednesday, April 30, 2025. A copy of your most recent high school or college transcript must be included with your application. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.
