Parents/Guardians of a FFSM Student,
I am sharing this so that you can be in the know about our upcoming lesson series during our Sunday Night gatherings. Starting on Sunday, February 15th and concluding on Sunday, March 8th, I (Pastor Brady) will be leading a 4-week series called “God, Guys, & Girls”.
The premise of this series is simple: What does God intend for us when it comes to relationships, love, s*x, and dating?
As a parent/guardian, I know you have a simple goal. It’s Proverbs 22:6, “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”
Doing that job is already hard enough as it is, but in today’s technological world, it feels like it’s even more difficult as teenagers today have the ability to access millions of opinions and views on a nearly any topic you can imagine, including ones about relationships, love, or s*x.
If I am being honest, I have avoided this topic for years. It’s awkward and it’s uncomfortable… But it’s NECESSARY. The fact is, if our children are not learning about this and having the opportunity to talk about this in a safe, biblical manner, then they’ll learn and talk about it some other way. A way that honestly terrifies me.
That’s why I am seeking to partner with you over the course of this lesson series so that you can help talk to your child about relationships, love, s*x, and dating.
Each week I intend to share with you an email before each lesson, previewing what we will be discussing that upcoming Sunday. After the lesson, I will be sending a follow-up email that will include the full written manuscript of the lesson that was taught, with questions for you to continue having this discussion with your child.
If you are interested in receiving these emails, please let me know and I will make sure you are added to this email chain moving forward. Or if you have any questions, do not hesitate to reach out.
Thank you for allowing me to teach and pour into the life of your child. It truly is an honor that I do not take for granted.
In Partnership,
Pastor Brady
