Morning Update [as of 8:10 AM on 2/22/26] - Today's services will be held as follows:
Sunday School - 9:30 AM - Cancelled
Sunday Morning Worship - 10:30 AM - As Scheduled
Sunday Evening Service - 7:00 PM - Cancelled

If you are joining us for the morning service today, we will plan to stay after for our monthly luncheon as the weather permits - so plan accordingly but make your decisions based on weather in your immediate location.

The national weather service just released a winter storm watch for Franklin County, with the potential for 3-8 inches of snow falling over the next 36 hours. The models are still a bit scattered, but based on the warmer weather and hourly rates expected at this time - we have decided to make the following changes for tomorrow's services:

Sunday School - CANCELLED [due to potential icing on blacktop / sidewalks]
Sunday Morning Worship - AS SCHEDULED [Tentatively: the final call will be made tomorrow morning - also, if we have the service we will still aim to have a fellowship afterwards with whomever joins in]
Sunday Evening Services - CANCELLED [most of the snow is supposed to fall in the evening hours]

I'll send another update in the morning confirming (or canceling) the morning worship time. And as always, just because the church doors are open does not mean you need to be there! Make the best judgement you can based on what conditions seem to be in your area.

Due to the weekend's historically low temperatures, tonight's evening service (2/8/2026) will be cancelled. Stay warm and stay safe! Lord willing we'll see you all next week.

ALL SERVICES for Sunday 1/25/26 are cancelled in light of the impending weekend storm.

Also, the Monday Night FBC Conference at Kasiesville Bible has been cancelled as well.

Lord willing we will see you on Wednesday for Prayer Service! Everyone stay home and stay safe (and stay warm)!

12/14/25 PM Service CANCELLED

Thank you for those who were able to join in with worship this morning and blessings to those who could not. We had a great and intimate time around the Word and song and food.

Due to temperatures in the teens and wind-chill well below zero, we have decided to CANCEL this evening's service (12/14/25). The refreezing of the roads and (in particular) the parking lot feels too notable of a risk at this time.

Lord willing we will see you all later this week. Don't forget next Sunday evening (12/21) is our cantata and candle lighting service.

12/14/25 - Services ON

Regularly scheduled services will be held today (12/14/25), including both Sunday School and the luncheon. PM service is currently on, and we will advise of any changes. However, we all know that conditions change from street to street and hour to hour. There are reports of a few inches of snow on the mountain, and also ice under the snow in many places even in the valley, so if you are unsure of your plans, remember there is wisdom in prudence. Just because the church doors are open doesn't mean you need to be there! We would love to see you, but we would love it more knowing you are safe.

Details: As of 5:30 this morning the main roads through Waynesboro were wet but mostly clear. The church lot is in the process of being treated for snow and ice, and we will continue to look for problem spots as the morning progresses. However, the weather for the whole day will be cold (20's) and getting colder (into the teens) as the day progresses - meaning ice is always the greatest danger. Please use wisdom in determining what the conditions seems to be in your local vicinity and whether or not you are comfortable traveling through the same. If we don't see you today, stay warm and stay safe.
