HOW BRATY IS YOUR BRAT?

How often have you heard the adage, “Spare the rod; spoil the child?” What verse is that in the Bible?
The truth is that is not in the Bible anywhere. It is a misquote of Proverbs 13:24 which states “whoever spares the rod hates his son, but he who loves him is diligent to discipline him.”
Notice the emphasis on “diligent to discipline.” Discipline is not a synonym for spanking, but rather a reference to the parents’ role to teach, guide, correct and love their children. And that is accomplished through a comprehensive set of discipline tools.
A boy once made headlines as the result of his repeated vandalism in his neighborhood. Even though he came from a well-to-do family, he was, by every indication of behavior, a perfect example of a "juvenile delinquent." A reporter quizzed the boy in detention, asking, "Why do you feel the need to destroy property? Are you angry?" The boy just shrugged his shoulders and turned away. The reporter persisted, "Weren't you afraid of getting a licking from your parents?"
At this the boy looked at the reporter, and said, "I've never had a licking in my life." The tone of his voice, however, was not one of anger, but of sadness. The reporter talked with him further and realized that "not having a licking" meant to this young boy that his parents did not care one whit about him. The young man concluded the, interview by declaring that if the police turned him loose, he would continue to take out his vengeance on the neighborhood until one or the other of his folks cared enough to stop him.
Spanking is not abuse. Abuse is rooted in a parent's uncontrolled expression of power. Spanking is a form of discipline intended to restrain and rechanneled a child's uncontrolled expression of power! Abuse never has a place. Spanking sometimes does. Parenting is full of uncertainties, but one thing is for sure: your investment in teaching and guidance pays off eventually in grown kids you want to be around—and who want to be around you.
Too many parents are not on spanking terms with their children. He who spares his rod hates his son. But he who loves him disciplines him diligently. Proverbs 13:24 (NASB)

He Educated Them
One sentence sums up the focus of Jesus' time on earth: "And he went everywhere teaching, healing and preaching" Matt.4:23. Since teaching is educating the mind and preaching is educating the heart, two-thirds of Jesus' work was education.
If you look at the instances when he healed people, nine times out of ten he spoke to them about an attitude change or a new way of behaving that was to go along with their physical state of being. " Go and sin no more John 8:11. I feel safe in saying education was Jesus' number-one priority.
Someone recently told me that professors on the whole live longer than any other professional group. One theory for this is that they keep stretching their minds and tend to immerse themselves in mentally stimulating atmospheres long after retirement.
Yet most institutions, in a crunch, cut back on training programs. It happens every time. We will fund tin and metal before we will fund the human mind. Our country spends far more money on defense than on education, and our teachers are still among our lowest-paid professionals. As a former vice president of USA so aptly misstated, "A mind is a terrible thing not to have."
In the wonderful book Do It! authors John Roger and Peter McWilliams assert that human beings are built for success but programmed for failure. Jesus' mission was to deliver our crown, and he knew we needed a new mind and heart in order for us to be able to receive it.
How much time do you spend educating your children, grandchildren or any person that comes your way?

UNDERSTANDING PROPHECIES OF THE APOCALYPSE
“Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven” Acts 1:11.
For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus, shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words. 1Thessalonians 4:16-18.
Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed – in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 1 Corinthians 15:51,52
The term rapture comes from the Latin rapio or rapturo, which means “a snatching away.” The rapture , then, is that time when the Lord comes in the clouds of glory (Acts 1:11) to take out of this world all those who have died I Christ as well as al believers who are alive at His coming.
In God’s calendar rapture is the literal, visible, and bodily return of Christ in the heavens. He shall return as He left (Acts 1:9 -11). This the great event that will take place as the people of God (dead and alive) disappear from the face of the earth, whereupon they immediately meet Christ and are ushered into His presence in the twinkling of an eye.
The question now is how ready are you? If you were to die now, will you be raptured? If alive then will you be raptured or left behind? I pray we all will be with Christ for eternity. Amen.

No cash does not mean you are poor.

He also force everyone, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on his forehead, so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name. Rev.13: 16-17.
Are you a bit concerned with the shift away from cash or does it seem like no big deal? I do not think enough people realize the pitfalls of this. Read Dave Ramsey’s comments with an open mind. It is what to expect in the nearest future.

HERE'S WHAT NO CASH ACTUALLY MEANS:
A cashless society means no cash. Zero. It does not mean mostly cashless and you can still use a ‘wee bit of cash here & there’. Cashless means fully digital, fully traceable, fully controlled. I think those who support a cashless society are not fully aware of what they are asking for. A cashless society means:
* If you are struggling with your mortgage on a particular month, you cannot do an odd job to get you through.
* Your child cannot go & help the local farmer to earn a bit of summer cash.
* No more cash slipped into the hands of a child as a good luck charm or from their grandparent when going on holidays.
* No more money in birthday cards.
* No more piggy banks for your child to collect pocket money & to learn about the value of earning.
* No more cash for a rainy-day fund or for that something special you have been putting $20 a week away for.
* No more little jobs on the side because your wages barely cover the bills or put food on the table.
* No more charity collections.
* No more selling bits & pieces from your home that you no longer want/need for a bit of cash in return.
* No more cash gifts from relatives or loved ones.
What a cashless society does guarantee:
* Banks have full control of every single penny you own.
* Every transaction you make is recorded.
* All your movements & actions are traceable.
* Access to your money can be blocked at the click of a button when/if banks need ‘clarification’ from you which will take about 3 weeks, a thousand questions answered & five thousand passwords.
* You will have no choice but to declare & be taxed on every dollar in your possession.
* The government WILL decide what you can & cannot purchase.
* If your transactions are deemed in any way questionable, by those who create the questions, your money will be frozen, ‘for your own good’.
Forget about cash being dirty. Stop being so easily led. Cash has been around for a very, exceptionally long time & it gives you control over how you trade with the world. It gives you independence. I heard a story where a man supposedly contracted Covid because of a $20 bill he had handled. There is the same chance of Covid being on a card as being on cash. If you cannot see how utterly ridiculous this assumption is then there is little hope.
If you are a customer, pay with cash. If you are a shop owner, remove those ridiculous signs that ask people to pay by card. Cash is a legal tender; it is our right to pay with cash. Banks are making it increasingly difficult to lodge cash & that has nothing to do with a virus, nor has this ‘dirty money’ trend.

WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT SULFUR?
The properties of sulfur are that it is a chemical element that is yellow, odorless, and common near volcanic regions and hot springs. Compounds containing sulfur are of great importance in industry and biology. Sulfur has been known as brimstone, dating back to ancient times. A common alternate spelling is 'sulphur.'
Solid sulfur predominates as a ring of eight atoms, but other rings with fewer atoms are also found. When burned, sulfur exhibits a blue flame that releases sulfur dioxide, SO2. This compound can combine with water in a person’s mucous membranes to form dilute sulfurous acid, H2SO3, which acts as a weak acid.
The smell commonly associated with sulfur is not due to the elemental sulfur, but to other sulfur compounds that have formed. For instance, hydrogen sulfide, H2S, is a poisonous gas that gives off the smell of rotten eggs. Small amounts of it are formed as humidity in the air causes oxidation of sulfur. One of its sources is sewage, and it occasionally proves fatal to workers in sewage trenches. The sulfur dioxide formed from burning sulfur smells like burned matches.
Solid sulfur will melt at a temperature of 112.8°C and boiling point is 444.7°C. That means sulfur melts before boiling.
Similarly, ice will melt at -1.08°C (at triple point) and boils at 100°C.
Now if you would not dip your hand into a boiling water of 100°C, why would you want to subject your entire body to 444.7°C, a temperature more than 4-times that of boiling water? Read Revelation 19:20 to find the answer.

THE GREAT OPPORTUNITY.

A new season in your life started with COVID19 where you had to wear face mask to enter public places. Pre COVID19, only burglars and SWAT teams wore mask to disguise themselves, now everyone is required to wear one to save someone else life. This is a time of fresh beginnings and new opportunities? Sometimes we get the distinct impression that the door is closing onto an old way of doing things, a familiar job or ministry. We sense that transition is in the air and that God is calling us to move on into new pastures. When this happens there is that understandable temptation to push doors, to investigate and apply for new opportunities. While there is a lot to be said for initiative-taking, we must make sure that it is God’s initiative we are following, not our daydream. When we push doors with our own strength, we often become exhausted and dispirited. When we let go and let God take control, then instead of putting our shoulder to many doors, one door swings open. When that happens Jesus says, “I’ve seen your efforts, Now look at mine!” The critical thing is to let Jesus be sovereign in all of this. He is the King of Kings. Let him open the door. And when He does, remember the old saying: “The opportunity of a lifetime needs to be seized in the lifetime of an opportunity.” “I see what you have done. Now see what I have done. I have opened the door before you that no one can slam shut.” Revelation 3:8. Have an open mind after the lockdown, Jesus is still the king.

Have you been counted out? I know someone who will not reject or count you out. The person controls the universe. He will count you in. But you must be willing to be in. You are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation. A peculiar people: that you should show forth the praises of him who has called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. 1 Peter 2:9. You and your household shall reign forever in Jesus Name.
And so today, goodness and mercy shall follow you all the days of your life.
