The 2026 National Eucharistic Pilgrimage's theme is
"One Nation Under God"

It is a nationwide call to renewal, unity, and mission rooted in the Eucharist.
Centered on encounter and mission as we walk with Jesus truly present in the Eucharist, the Pilgrimage invites the faithful to renewal of faith, one person at a time.

“Our hope is that Catholics will come together on this significant anniversary to give thanks for our country and to pray for our future. We want all Catholics to be inspired with missionary zeal to bring revival through the light and love of Jesus Christ,” said Bishop Andrew H. Cozzens, Chairman of the National Eucharistic Congress.

From Memorial Day weekend through July 5, the daily rhythm will include Mass, walking processions, Eucharistic Adoration, witness talks, and service projects.

Nine young adult Perpetual Pilgrims and a media missionary will undertake the full journey, including a private mid-point retreat at the St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Shrine in New York City.

The Pilgrimage will pass through the Dioceses of Savannah, Charleston, Charlotte, Richmond, Arlington, Washington, Baltimore, Wilmington, Camden, Paterson, Springfield, Mass, Manchester, Portland (Maine), Boston, Fall River, and Providence before concluding in Philadelphia, PA.

In solidarity with the United States Bishops’ call to consecrate America to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, the 2026 Pilgrimage brings Jesus Himself directly to the American people.

The 2026 Pilgrimage will travel the Eastern seaboard along The Cabrini Route, named after St. Frances Xavier Cabrini, the first American citizen to be canonized and serving as its patroness.

Beginning in St. Augustine, Florida, the Route will pass through most of the original 13 colonies.

The Diocese of Paterson is hosting many special events on June 14 and 15. Please see the flyer below and Bishop's Calendar for those events he will be leading.

We are deeply grateful for your presence and your desire to take part in this historic moment of grace. Your witness to our Catholic faith and your love for Jesus Christ in the Most Blessed Sacrament are a tremendous blessing to our local Church.
As you prepare to join us, please take note of the following important logistical information:

-------------------------------------------------------
DIRECTIONS FOR SUNDAY, JUNE 14, 2026
PARKING INFORMATION
General parking will be available at the Passaic Public Parking Deck located at 39 State Street, Passaic.
We encourage all participants to make use of this lot.

There will also be limited parking available at the following locations:
• Holy Rosary Church (6 Wall Street, Passaic), where the English Opening Talk will be held.
• Our Lady of Fatima and St. Nicholas Church (153 Washington Place, Passaic), where the Spanish Opening Talk will take place.
Because parking at the parish locations is limited, we strongly recommend arriving early to secure a spot.

OPENING TALKS AND PROCESSION
Participants are welcome to attend the Opening Talks at 3:00 P.M. in the language of their preference (English or Spanish). Regardless of which talk you attend, please note that the Eucharistic Procession will depart from Holy Rosary Church.
The procession will leave promptly at 4:30 P.M. from Holy Rosary Church with Bishop Sweeney. The route will make its way to Our Lady of Fatima and St. Nicholas Church, where the faithful will be able to join in as the procession continues.
Along the way, the procession will pass near all of the Catholic churches in the City of Passaic, with the exception of St. Anthony of Padua.
We kindly invite all participants to maintain an attitude of prayer and reverence throughout the procession and especially during the Holy Mass. This pilgrimage is a sacred opportunity to bear public witness to our faith and to deepen our devotion to Our Lord in the Eucharist.
We encourage you to review the attached map carefully to familiarize yourself with the route and plan your arrival accordingly.

OPENING MASS
Opening Mass will begin at 6:30 P.M. at Boverini Stadium (262 River Drive, Passaic). We look forward to gathering together in prayer and celebration as one diocesan family. For your comfort, bottles of water will be available throughout the procession.

DIRECTIONS FOR MONDAY, JUNE 15, 2026
We ask all participants to congregate at the Father English Center in Paterson (435 Main Street, Paterson), as the Eucharistic Procession will depart from there promptly at 5:30 P.M. Please plan to arrive early so that we may begin on time and in a spirit of recollection. From the Father English Center, we will walk together in procession to the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, where the Closing Mass will begin at 7:00 P.M. This sacred journey through the streets of Paterson will be a public witness of our faith and our love for Jesus Christ truly present in the Eucharist. We kindly encourage everyone to maintain an attitude of prayer and reverence throughout the procession and especially during the Holy Mass. Let us walk together in unity, mindful of the great gift we have received in the Eucharist and the responsibility we share to bear witness to Him in the world.

PARKING INFORMATION
Parking will be available beginning at 5:00 P.M. at the multilevel parking garage located across from the Cathedral. The garage is situated at the corner of Grand Street and Jackson Street. We recommend arriving early to allow time to park and make your way to the Father English Center before the procession begins.

------------
For the safety and well-being of all participants, there will be many law enforcement officers present on both days. If you observe anything suspicious or concerning, please approach one of the officers immediately. Should you have any questions or concerns during any of the processions or the Masses, please approach any of our volunteers wearing a volunteer lanyard. We look forward with great joy to celebrating this historic moment for our Diocese together. May our shared participation bear powerful witness to our Catholic faith and to our love for Jesus Christ, truly present in the Most Blessed Sacrament.

Yours in Christ,

-Fr. Cesar Jaramillo
