Two Choral Anthems for the final two weeks of the 2025-2026 Choir Year!

Last week (5/17), we featured our wonderful Alto Choral Scholar, Mary Kate McKenzie, on Craig Hella Johnson's setting of the Annie Lennox song "1,000 Beautiful Things."

This morning (5/24), another C. H. J. setting. this time of Carly Simon's inspiring "Let the River Run."

The concluding concerts of the Wayne Oratorio Society's 2025-26 season are THIS weekend! We proudly present Franz Joseph Haydn's "The Seasons" - the grand sequel to his earlier masterpiece, "The Creation" (last performed by WOS in '21) forming a two-part artistic vision that contrasts divine origin with earthly existence. While "The Creation" celebrates the origins of life and the majesty of the natural world, "The Seasons" shifts focus to human experience - examining nature’s cycles, agricultural labor, and the joys and hardships of life across the year.

Here, we have late-period Haydn - a composer employing the full range of his compositional creativity and powers. This is a 360-degree, full technicolor musical experience. Rarely performed and highly rewarding, "The Seasons" is an epic Wayne Oratorio Society offering not to be missed! .
