We are very sad to share that Pastor Randy Wilburn, died December 10, 2024. Randy served as Pastor of Peace from 1980 until 1991. He is survived by his wife, Karin, and their three children, Adam, Kathryn and Jason. We at Peace send all our love and prayers during their time of mourning and we mourn with them.

“God of compassion and love, you have breathed into us the breath of life and given us the exercise of our minds and wills. In our frailty we surrender all life to you from whom it came, trusting in your gracious promises, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen”

Delayed posting here, but on Sunday our children put on the annual Peace Christmas pageant. This year it was entitled “The Bells of Christmas”. We always enjoy watching our children tell the story of the Nativity dressed up, playing instruments and singing.

We would like to share the following message from Rabbi Danny Burkeman at Temple Shir Tikva and hope you will join us in showing our Jewish neighbors that we don't stand for hate and antisemitism.

"In light of the recent antisemitic hate crime in Wayland, we will be gathering together with our friends from Congregation Or Atid - Wayland MA and all other concerned local citizens to say loudly and unequivocally that hate and antisemitism have no place in Wayland, no place in MetroWest and no place in America.

On Sunday (November 19) at 1:30 pm people are invited to join us on the lawn at Temple Shir Tikva as we gather together with our friends and neighbors to deliver this message. It will be a chance for people to show solidarity and support for the Jewish community, to publicly and collectively reject hate and antisemitism, and to come together in community"

On October 22, 1995, at the 9:30 am service at Peace Lutheran Church, Nathaniel David Johnson was baptized.

On October 21, 2023, in an afternoon service at St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Newton Lower Falls, Nate and Anna will be married.

“Eternal God, as you gladdened the wedding at Cana in Galilee by the presence of your Son, so by his presence now bring your joy to this wedding. Look in favor upon Anna and Nate and grant that they, rejoicing in all your gifts, may at length celebrate with Christ the marriage feast that has no end.” (LBW)

Wishing them well as they begin their life together and special congratulations to the father of the groom, our Pastor Jeffrey Johnson!

We had a wonderful service yesterday celebrating the Resurrection of our Lord. This was followed by our Easter tradition of brunch and an Easter egg hunt for the kids. We were once again joined by our friends from St Luke Anglican Church of Uganda-Boston. Thanks to everyone who joined us during Holy Week and Easter services and to all those who brought dishes for the pot luck brunch and helped hide eggs for the hunt.
