DON’T FALL ASLEEP ON YOUR PRAYER LIFE:

As men must understand that it’s our responsibility to stayed prayed daily.

You prayer life is your direct communication with God and it’s there where he will provide you strength, guidance and understanding.

We learn in Matthew how Jesus ask his disciples to watch and pray for only one hour, but they allowed the distractions from Satan called sleep and they slept instead of praying.

Don’t be like the Disciples and give into the enemies tricks as he hates when you communicate with the Lord, as he knows that this is where your strength comes from.

36 Then cometh Jesus with them unto a place called Gethsemane, and saith unto the disciples, Sit ye here, while I go and pray yonder.

37 And he took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful and very heavy.

38 Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me.

39 And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.

40 And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour?

41 Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

42 He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done.

43 And he came and found them asleep again: for their eyes were heavy.

44 And he left them, and went away again, and prayed the third time, saying the same words.

45 Then cometh he to his disciples, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.

46 Rise, let us be going: behold, he is at hand that doth betray me.

Men’s daily Devotional for Wednesday February 25

WALKING THE WALK

There’s a saying that says: Action speak louder that words. As believers, we should always be aware of our actions as they must show others the change that God has made in our lives.

The Lord gives us specific instructions that commands us to act in accordance to his will and way. If you are a responsible believer, then you must understand that acting includes serving in the house of the Lord. Doing the Lords work is a responsibility that all bear and we must put our action into motion.

James 3:13

Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom.

Now go sign up to serve at your local church that you attend.

Do not allow the mind set that serving is beneath you as this is an extremely dangerous place to be.

Do not allow the lack of wisdom from others to stop you from fulfilling Gods destiny on your life.

I have the esteemed honor and privilege to serve as my Pastors Armorbearer. The lack of understanding in the body of Christ and some ministry leaders as to what the true functions of an Armorbearer are is mind boggling.

Instead of educating themselves, it’s easier to make snide remarks directly to me. I have learned that this is the enemy at work and I cannot allow this stop my responsibilities and focus as the Kingdom of God needs me to be on point and not distracted.

Below, I’ll share some scriptures that may help some in educating and understanding the responsibilities of an AB.

But first here are top 3 things that an ArmorBearer must do and understand.

1) You must always remember that your Pastor is not your friend. This can be challenging for some, but it must be this way because in the flesh, some will struggle with fully submitting to authority.

2) You must pray for your Pastor daily without hesitation.

3) Understand the Pastors vision and stand in agreement without waiver.
