REV. MARK AND SUZANNE SHRUM bio:

The Shrum’s have served the Lord together for 27 years.

My wife and I are natives of Western North Carolina. We are privileged to serve as Pastor and wife at the Hickory Bethel Wesleyan Church in Hickory, NC. We are humbled to also have the privilege of holding revivals and camp meetings.

We were both saved as teens and later entirely sanctified. I received my education from Oklahoma Wesleyan University, with pastoral studies as my major, and was ordained in 2020. God has gifted my wife Suzanne with the ability to play the piano and we enjoy singing together for God’s glory. We are dedicated to lifting up the name of Jesus, proclaiming holiness and to making God known. Our desire is to see individuals, families and communities made whole by the power of Jesus Christ.

We pray everyone has made it through the last few weeks safe. Just an update on the camp followers, we got to assess the minor damage we’ve occurred, but nothing that cannot be fixed fairly easily.
We know there are others that are way worse off than we are.
We’ve had a few big trees down, but nothing that majorly damaged our buildings too bad. We did have some minor damage on our girls lodge, but we’re hoping we can get that fixed within the next few weeks.

We continue to pray for our friends and families in the Carolinas, Tennessee, all around the state of Georgia and Florida. We pray that they feel God’s presence through these hard times.

Our sister camp Gaskin Springs took a very hard hit. We pray that they can get the buildings repaired and their camp cleaned up and ready for 2025!
