The moon was not credibly sighted, so first day of Ramadan will be Thursday, February 19th.

Assalamu alaikum Rahma Community,

RCC encourages everyone to go out to look for the new crescent moon (hilal) on the evening of Tuesday, February 17th (after 29 days of Sha'ban) in anticipation of the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan.

Qualified Muslim astronomers and reliable visibility forecasts indicate that on Tuesday evening a "naked-eye" (unaided) sighting of the new crescent moon will be highly improbable in North America and around the world. You can check the visibility forecast for your region here.

We will make a determination and final announcement regarding the start of Ramadan as early as possible, Please bear with us.

Assalamu alaikum Rahma Community,

As part of our uplift plan for the future Musalla, we are staining the exterior of the building. Staining is different from painting, where painting can peel after a few years, staining absorbs the color deep into the wood and lasts much longer.

We need *$16,500* to sand, treat holes from carpenter bees, caulking, and finally a fresh stain on the wood to bring the exterior of the 4,000+ sq ft Cabin back to life!

May Allah Almighty bless the generous!

Shaykh Nisar Chaudhry
Shaykh Nisar resides in New Jersey, USA. After completing his Bachelors in Philosophy and Minor in Psychology from Rutgers University, Shaykh Nisar traveled to Jordan, Pakistan, Egypt, and Turkey to pursue Islamic studies. Shaykh Nisar primarily studied in Lahore, Pakistan, completing his Dars-e-Nizami (Alim course) and graduating from Jamia Nizamia Ridawiyyah’s Dawrat-ul-Hadith program. Shaykh Nisar also completed the curricular program of Dawat-e-Islami’s Specialization in Fiqh course (M***i Course).
Shaykh Nisar now teaches across different platforms in New Jersey’s vibrant Muslim community.

Shaykh Meurad Osman:
Shaykh Meurad Osman was born and raised in the state of New Jersey. He earned an Associate’s Degree from Passaic County Community College and a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from Kean University. He also served as an Imam for three years at the Islamic Center of Ocean County (Masjid Mustafa) in Toms River, New Jersey. He has studied the Islamic sciences extensively in the United States, Turkey, and Jordan. His teachers include Shaykh Zahir Ishaq, Dr. Salah Abdul Haj, Shaykh Nadir Abu Umar, Shaykh Khalid Kharsah, Dr. Muadh Hawa, among others. His areas of study include Aqidah, Hanafi Fiqh, Tazkiyah, Tajwid, Arabic, and related Islamic disciplines. Meurad Osman holds a graduate degree in *Hanafi Fiqh and Usul* from the World Islamic Sciences University in Amman, Jordan, along with various other certifications. He currently serves as an instructor for Arkview, Safina Society, Darul Fath, Mecca Center, and Noorul Iman.
