From Awana for PARENTS!
Thank you for the dedication you bring week after week to helping children understand, memorize, and apply God’s Word. We recognize the many hours you invest in preparation, teaching, and listening to verses, and we are truly grateful for all you do.
At Awana, we believe that when children are immersed in Scripture both at church and at home, they are surrounded by truth. As Deuteronomy 6 reminds us, parents play a vital role in talking about God’s Word in everyday moments. We take this calling seriously and are committed to encouraging parents to be actively involved in their child’s discipleship.
Beginning this year, each handbook (Cubbies through Trek) will include a QR code that directs parents to a dedicated webpage created just for them, AwanaParents.com. There, they will find resources that align with their child’s handbook—Scripture memory songs, audio that supports the handbook sections, parent pages that summarize the Bible lesson, and more. While the content varies by age group, our goal is to equip parents with biblically grounded, easy-to-use tools to disciple their children at home.
As we roll out this new feature, please note that some handbooks in this year’s shipments may not yet include the QR code on the front cover. It will take up to two years for this update to be reflected across all inventory. For any handbooks without a QR code—whether newly received or already in your church’s inventory—we are sharing a folder with a printable label template to use as stickers for the front of the handbooks. Within the folder, you will also find a flyer and email template to help share AwanaParents.com with the parents in your club.
