At the begining of January the Coverdales agreed to attend Lads to Leaders and let the boys participate. They signed up and went to work right away. Soon they were convinced L2LL is a good thing for them and their children. They have committed to return next year (Well...the boys have.), taking on more events and learning about more opportunities to grow into leaders!
Payton and Shianne are quick to lend a helping hand, willing to learn, and striving to grow their faith while establishing love for the Lord in all their children!
The seven boys are extremely helpful! They work well together as a team, take instructions well, and follow through. They are bring raised well. Payton and Shianne Coverdale are to be commended for their efforts in exposing the boys to God, the Holy Bible, and the church.
I am excited just thinking about what Bryer, Kayne, Walker and Korbin will do next year! They want to do Oral Bible Reading again! Some of them want to lead a song. Ryker is not sure what he wants to do, but said he wants to go back next year. Then, Kingston and Hudson told me they will sing Jesus Loves Me next year. They can already do it!
Kayla does so much for us. This year, she took the lead on a group banner, prepped food, took care of the hospitality room, judged events, and learned more about the place and how to get around without getting lost than maybe ever before!
Joshua and Tristan are workers that have greatly benefitted from attending Lads to Leaders/Leaderettes for several years. They now judge events they used to participate in, assist with gopher tasks, lead people around, find people who are lost, and do a lot of the heavy lifting involved in coming and going.
With Lads to Leaders/Leaderettes, no sooner does one year's convention end then preparations begin for another! (You should have already started on events that go from registration deadline to registration deadline. If you have not, you can catch up.) The 2026 theme will be Faith Works, based on James 2:18-19. Bible Bowl will study James, 1st Peter, and 2nd Peter.
What will your faith lead you to do for the Lord and His church?
