🎶🎶 THIS SUNDAY is going to be a special morning of worship you won't want to miss! We are honored to welcome the talented Jim Potter as our special guest organist at Waverly First UMC.
The organ doesn't get played very often, and we are excited for this beautiful music to fill our sanctuary once again!

What an incredible week at VBS: Snowball Mountain Challenge! We shared time with over 40 kids! ❄️🏔️

We had an amazing time learning about God's love through exciting Bible stories, worship, games, crafts, snacks, and fun challenges. Throughout the week, they learned a very important “mountain motto”:
🙏🏼 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" -Philippians 4:13

👉🏻Key Points:
✝️ I can share my gifts!
✝️ I can be brave!
✝️ I can give my all!
✝️ I can pray!
✝️ I can hope!

Thank you to all of our amazing volunteers (we had so many youth leaders which was so great 😊), station leaders, parents, and everyone who helped make this week so special. Most importantly, thank you to all the children who brought so much energy, joy, and excitement each day!

We pray that the lessons learned at Snowball Mountain Challenge will stay in every heart long after VBS has ended. See you next year! 💙❄️

For the last 6 months, State Street Ministry has been blessed to have Joshua Schulhofer as an intern through the IGRC. We would like to congratulate him on his recent graduation from Illinois College and wish him well on his seminary journey that will soon begin. Thankfully, he will be with us through the summer and hopefully we’ll still see him around after that even.

One more congratulations is in order though… See picture of Josh delivering his first sermon! If you were at Waverly First on Sunday, June 7, you were blessed! A job well done! Don’t worry, he’ll preach at Grace and Centenary soon!
