Greetings from the Caribbean! Our summer sermon series on Exodus is SO popular that they even had a whole Bob Marley tribute concert on the promenade this evening. I’m excited to be jammin’ in the name of the Lord with you all starting on June 7th!

It has been a BIG week for St. Paul members in the community! Three of our youth graduated today from Wauzeka-Steuben, including the Class of 2026 salutatorian and Student of the Year, Cooper Lomas, as well as Isabella Bunders and William Zander. On top of that, Luann McCarthy received the annual Friend of Education award from the school for the many ways she has supported our students and education in the community over the years. Congratulations to our 2026 graduates and to Luann!

From Pastor Kevin:

I have to confess that I have been completely overwhelmed by how busy the end of this school year has been. Between work at the school, plenty to do at church, Baccalaureate, and family life, it has been a bit of a whirlwind...and I know many of you have been feeling the same way, too. To give us all a chance to take a break and get back on balance, we will NOT have any Family Night events until June; stay tuned for dates and times for our monthly summer family night gatherings.

Confirmation families, I will be putting together a few video lessons after vacation; students can watch them over the summer months at their convenience.

I'll be gone on vacation at the end of the month and am looking forward to coming back in June feeling a little more relaxed, refreshed, and renewed. I hope you are able to take a little break, too, and get what you need to stay balanced and keep on going!

The results are in and certified - our summer sermon series this year will focus on the Exodus story! We’ll dive into the story of God’s deliverance of the Israelites on June 7th - expect big, dramatic stories of God active in the world, reflection on how we can follow God in freedom…and also gratuitous Bob Marley references, if Pastor Kevin is being honest. There may even be a playlist.

Proverbs will be our fall adult forum series, though, so if you were one of the people pulling for it, we’ll get plenty of time exploring God’s practical wisdom for living in depth!

THANK YOU to everyone who donated - together, you all raised $371.50 to go toward supporting the CouleeCap food pantry and paying off student lunch debt at the Wauzeka-Steuben Public School!

DON'T FORGET: Family Night is this Sunday, April 19th at 5:30pm! With the chilly forecast, we'll have board games, Twister, etc. on hand for some indoor fun, though folks can bundle up and brave the playground if they'd like. Bring an appetite and warm up with some chili - Pastor Kevin's very own recipe for Texas Red! If you'd like to pitch in with a snack, some fruit or veg, or a dessert, please feel free. And...bring your friends and neighbors!
