Unity began as a study group in Milwaukee in October 1921. As interest grew for this New Thought (Ancient Wisdom) educational ministry, a church was formed. The group received a Certificate of Incorporation (Milwaukee County Courthouse, Articles, Volume 63, page 427) on June 7, 1927, as "First Unity Center of Milwaukee, Wisconsin." In 1950 the name was changed to Unity Church of Christianity; in 1995 to its current name, Unity Church in Milwaukee; often referred to UCIM representing "you see, I am"; and in 2019 changed to its current name, Unity Center in Milwaukee. As the church building was outgrown, the ministry moved to its current home at 1717 N. 73rd. Street, Wauwatosa, 53213, in 1967. Unity is a spiritual education movement that began with the co-founders, Charles and Myrtle Fillmore in the late 1890's. It's world wide ministries have churches and study groups in over 71 different countries. It's World Headquarters is Unity Village, Lee's Summit, Missouri. RECURRING WEEKLY EVENTS
* Sundays, 10 a.m., Worship Service in Chapel, and available in Facebook via Zoom (posted afterward on Facebook, website, and YouTube)
* Sundays, during service: Youth Education. Children come with their parents to the Chapel for the beginning of the service and then are led to the classroom for a special instruction time. The children come back at the end of the service and share what they have learned with the rest of the congregation.

* Thursdays, 11 a.m.: Silent Unity Prayer Service. This is a time to bring your healing and other prayer requests to a circle of sacred time dedicated to prayer.
