Last Saturday, thirty four women gathered for a day of renewal on the beautiful campus of Concordia University Wisconsin. From the worship music to Emily’s presentations, from the one-on-one reflection time with the Lord out in nature to the crafts and games, every detail came together to enhance the message that Christ is our anchor, a firm and secure hope, holding us fast in the storms and preventing us from drift in the good times. Once again, our Lord has generously blessed the women of Northwest and our friends and family.

Today was truly a special day at NWBC, marked by two heartfelt recognitions. We began by dedicating ourselves as a family of God to support Alexis and her family in their commitment to raising Emery in a loving Christian home. Our Women’s Ministry Director, Connie, presented Alexis with a beautiful basket filled with thoughtful baby goodies.

Later, Pastor Paul and Noah took a moment to honor Bennie, expressing our deep appreciation for his decade-long dedication to portraying Christ in our outdoor Good Friday drama. It’s days like these that remind us of the strength of our community and the blessings we share.

Northwest invites you to a night at the movies. This evening, we will be showing Home Run (2013) in the chapel. Home Run is a sports drama about Corey, a baseball superstar who is struggling with alcoholism. After being suspended for a drinking-related incident, Corey’s team demands that he attend recovery meetings in order to be reinstated with the team. While attending the meetings, Corey begins to face his drinking as well as the pain of his past. A potluck-style dinner will be served at 5:30 PM. The movie will start at 6:00 PM, with a discussion of the film to follow.

Bring your friends and family and celebrate Resurrection Sunday with us! The activities begin at 9:00 AM on Sunday, April 5 as we discover the empty tomb at the Resurrection Morning Outdoor Drama. Following the drama, enjoy hot, fresh pancakes and refreshments in the fellowship hall. And to conclude, we will gather in the sanctuary for our Resurrection Celebration Service at 10:30 AM.
