For the past four weeks, we've been learning to P.R.A.Y. Praise. Repent. Ask. Yield.

But what happens when the prayer ends and we get up to live our lives? Hopefully...we're DIFFERENT.

We begin this Sunday with Different Mind: Think Different, based on Romans 12:1-2.

If you've been following along with P.R.A.Y., this is a great time to keep going with us. And if you haven't been to River West before, it's a great Sunday to start!

Come as you are. ❤️

We are EXCITED to start our new series "DIFFERENT" this Sunday at The River West !

Jesus didn't save us to leave us the same!
Here is a quick breakdown from Pastor Rod .

So apparently Jeremy Camp and Crowder are going to be in Wauseon this Sunday. 👀🎶

And we were thinking...

Before you head to the Fulton County Fair, if you're looking for somewhere to Walk By Faith, get into some Deeper Waters, and shout a little GOOD GOD ALMIGHTY...

River West happens to have church at 10:30. 😏

Just saying. Somebody Prayed you might show up. 😂

Jeremy Camp. David Crowder. We'll save you a seat. 😉

And for everybody else headed to the concert Sunday night, come worship with us in the morning and Crowder & Jeremy can take the evening shift! 🙌🎶

River West Gives You Permission to Ignore Us 😂

DON'T ENGAGE WITH THIS POST.

Seriously. Don't comment.
Don't like it.
Don't share it.

Put your phone down.

Pastor Rod's challenge this week was to intentionally remove some of the noise and spend 15 quiet minutes listening to God.

Not asking.
Not explaining.
Not scrolling.

Just listening.

Set a timer for 15 minutes, put the phone face down and give God some room in all the noise.

Facebook will still be here when you get back. 😉🙏

Sometimes we want answers right away, but God works in His timing, not ours. Learning to trust, wait, and stay close to Him is where real growth happens 🤍 the closer we get to Him, the more we begin to reflect His spirit.

Monday Reflection: Y is for Yield

Yielding means slowing down, surrendering and letting God have the final say. I'm not sure I actually slow down much after I pray. I usually pray about something and move on to the next thing. But maybe there's trust in that, too. I've given it to God, so I don't need to keep picking it back up.

I do like having a plan. Give me a roadmap and I'm happy! If there's a detour along the way, so be it. 😂

I really liked the story of Peter in Luke 5. He had fished all night and caught nothing, but when Jesus told him to try again, Peter said, "But at Your word..." and put the nets back out. Trying again after you've failed over and over can feel defeating. But Peter tried again, his nets were filled, and then he did something I think would be even harder. He left the full nets behind to follow Jesus!

Could I trust God with the empty nets AND surrender the full ones?
.....that's what yielding looks like. God, this is Yours. Not MY will, but YOUR will be done.

There's peace in that, with maybe a teeny bit of nervousness. 😬 Because I'm human and I still want what I want. I'm learning to be okay with letting God have the final say. ❤️🙏

Praise. Repent. Ask. Yield.

Peace ~ Jeanette
