First United Methodist Church of Waukesha First United Methodist Church of Waukesha is a congregation seeking to deepen our connection with God, the world and each other.

Sunday Morning Worship at 9:30 am

As United Methodists, we are marked by a diversity in our beliefs, yet a deep commitment to be in dialogue with others. In all we do, we seek to live our membership vows to uphold the church by our prayers, our presence, our gifts, our service and our witness. This means that we seek to live lives that demonstrate a balance between an inward and outward focus as we seek nourishment for our souls, places of service for our gifts and skills, community that connects us to God, and passions that move us out and into the world. While members of the church find these membership vows very important, you need not be a member of the church to join us in worship, classes or service. First United Methodist Church embraces Jesus' message that God loves and accepts every person. We seek to preserve the beautiful, amazing diversity of God's creation, and we affirm that our hearts, our minds, and our doors are open to people of every age, race, ethnicity, culture, gender, sexual orientation and gender identity, economic condition, and physical or mental ability. We strive to fulfill the reconciliation given us in Christ Jesus, so that God's ever-unfolding love may be fully realized in us all and in our communities.

The topic this week is "Young People Returning to Religious Practice, Say Reports." News outlets are reporting that Gen Z is reengaging in religious practice, with some churches packed with young people. Although the evidence of generational revival is thin, we will focus on the spiritual needs of young adults and what churches can do to engage Gen Z.

Rain didn't dampen the fun at First United Methodist Church of Waukesha! Around 100 people gathered on Aug. 9 for their 2nd Annual Church Picnic, enjoying great fellowship and an incredible feast prepared by dedicated pit masters. 🍖🍔
