City Clerk Janet E. Kilkelly, Treasurer Dr. John Schwab, and I welcomed Pastor Colin Cranmer of St. Mark's Lutheran Church to deliver the invocation at today's meeting of the Waukegan City Council. I am grateful for his steady spiritual leadership and guidance in the community. Thank you, Pastor Cranmer!

This Sunday at St. Mark’s, we’ll look at some honest and surprisingly practical words from Jesus about navigating conflict with humility, care, and courage.

There’s good news here, too: when we try to work through the difficult parts of life together, God is with us.
