Trust. Trust. Trust. This will be a hard post to make but it is needed and asked of us as Christians.
Easy to say, not so much in practice. Trust. The Christian life isn’t supposed to be easy so get that out of your mind. He calls the unwanted, he calls the undesired, he calls the imperfect. But this doesn’t mean you can stay where you are. You also have to make a move of faith. You have to answer the door to Jesus. In faith with trust. If you think God will leave you in your current state you are sorely mistaken. The God of scripture changes you! This is not an overnight process. It’s a life long process. Don’t be discouraged though.
Sin is in the human DNA. We sin. We are called to repent and trust. In this I make a confession to the followers of this page. My walk with my savior isn’t easy. That I’ve said before. I’m not perfect. This I’ve also said before. The Christian will slip. I slip. Addiction is real. Whether it’s gambling, drugs, or pretty much anything that creates a wall between us and God. The Bible tells us to confess to our brothers and sisters and pray for each other and to confess to God for he is faithful and will cleanse us. Sin is a daily struggle amongst believers. I confess to you my brothers and sisters my sin of a sexual nature. That of p**n. The battle of years. The battle of it doesn’t hurt anyone. The battle of I can stop anytime. This just isn’t the case, friends. Those who deal with addiction know this. In this I ask for forgiveness of those who know me personally and those who follow this page. Its my hope that those who read this don’t look down on this page or on me with discouragement or a hurt heart. Not one is above falling into sin. But GOD IS ABOVE THIS. He defeated sin at Calvary for us to be made right! He forgives. He forgives me. Whether believer or unbeliever are you tired? Tired of the devil whispering in your ear? Tired of feeling like you carry a monkey on your back? TRUST. Simply trust. It’s building a wall between you and your creator! It’s hindering the relationship your God wants! All he wants is trust. It’s not easy. But it’s not impossible. It’s a lifelong struggle. But at the end of the day a decision has to be made, friend. Not tomorrow. Not next week. Today! At this moment. Are you going to continue down the path your on or are you going to TRUST your Jesus. God won’t leave you where you are. He hasn’t left me. He’s been knocking. He’s been sitting on the porch in the rocking chair. The moment I opened that door, the reaction was “There you are, why so long?” God is a true gentleman. But I’d be lying if I didn’t tell you that God is also all loving as well as justifiable in leaving us as he found and allowing our sin to condemn us to eternity separated from anything good. He waits but don’t take advantage. At any moment your heart will be it’s last. Just trust. Have faith and trust. He’s waiting right on the porch.
