We are going to be having a benefit for dad November 2nd at the Kansas Cherokee Community Organization building. We will be selling Hogmeat plates with a drink and dessert for $12. We also want to have a silent auction as well, so we need items to auction off. I’m going to make some pies and other baked goods to auction off and maybe throw together a gift basket to auction off as well. We found out today that our dad, David (Hed) Sands, has adenocarcinoma a stomach cancer. They are going to schedule a PET scan to see if the cancer has spread or how far it’s spread. He will have to have chemo and radiation, the doctor said with his age surgery is not an option. He says God knows what he’s doing, so we are putting all of this in his hands. Please keep him in your prayers because he hates being sick like this. He’s used to being out and about doing for others. Pray for the doctors and nurses and all those that will be helping him, pray for our family so we can help him get through this. Love y’all!

We fed the Kansas Comets basketball team this evening. Pulled pork, mac & cheese & chocolate sheet cake for dessert! Go Comets! Good luck tomorrow night!!!

We had a fun time yesterday evening! Hayride and Fall Harvest carnival! We were blessed to have most of our youth come and have a great time! Thank you Robert Downing for the tractor and trailer and for driving it, and Wade Hampton for loaning us the hey bales!
