We’ll begin in the courtyard waving palms and singing. Imagining joining Jesus’ procession as participants in sacred resistance to empire.
We’ll leave in silence, carrying both the weight of Jesus death and the quiet, enduring hope that love will have the final word.

LSBCC had a blast, Mardi Gras style, this year at the 9th annual Great Chili Cook-Off! We won the Most Unique Chili Award and People’s Choice Award.
A big thank you to everyone who participated in making the delicious chili and creating such a lively and fun booth! Hosted by Mid-County Homeless Coalition (MCHC), all funds raised support mobile showers for those who are unhoused.

We are delighted to announce our new settled minister, Pastor Nikira Hernandez Wolf. They are an excellent fit for our congregation and we are so excited and grateful! We look forward to their collaborative spirit, heart for social justice, and excellent leadership skills serving our community well as we enter the next chapter of our church life together.
