I just wanted to clear some things up about our church. 🙂 If you have come to visit our church when we had a missionary visiting we will take up an offering for them. That doesn't mean we are a money hungry church that begs for your money. We occasionally have missionaries that minister in other countries come minister at our church. For those that don't go to church very often, let me explain what happens when a missionary comes to speak at a church. ❤ Most full time missionaries do not hold full time jobs because they are called to do God's work WITHOUT an income. They rely on God by faith to provide and send them where they need to go. Unfortunately it does take money to buy plane tickets, have shelter, provide food for the people, bibles, and other things needed to take to the people they minister to in foreign countries. Therefore they have to minister from church to church in the states to ask that the body of christ sow into their ministry to provide these things. This is what God has called them to do. As a church and body of Christ, we are expected to give so they can reach the hurting, hungry, and witness to all the lost who have never heard about Jesus. When we take up a collection for our missionaries, not one drop goes to our church. Every penny goes to the missionary to meet the needs of the people they are trying to save. I hope this clears things up as we pray for everyone that walks through our doors. We are here for the community as well as the entire world and we whole heartedly support our missionaries in every way possible. Gods blessings on everyone as we continue to pray for those in need. May God give us eyes of understanding and a heart of compassion for the things we might not understand. God bless! ❤
