Who Will Follow JESUS? 👣💛
By David Dann | Anyone can follow Jesus. Only some will follow Jesus. Will you follow Jesus? 🤔

Matthew 7:13-14 “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.”

1 You Need to Know the Word of God 📖
John 8:31-32 Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed.”And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

2 You Need to Stand for the Truth ‼️
Ephesians 6:11-12 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

3 You Need to Understand God’s Grace ✨
Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.

4 You Need to Know the Christ and His Church ⛪
Matthew 16:15-18 He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. “And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.”

5 You Need to Be a True Disciple 🐑
Luke 14:33 “So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple.”

6 You Need to Look to Yourself👀
2 Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you? — unless indeed you are disqualified.

3 POINTS: WHY JESUS IS THE HEAD OF THE CHURCH👑❤️

FIRST Scriptural Evidence:
“Which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion… And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, which is His body…” (Ephesians 1:20–23)

POINT 1: THERE IS ONLY ONE HEAD
“And He is the head of the body, the church… that in all things He may have the preeminence.” (Colossians 1:18)

Examples of false heads:
Presidents of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
• The Pope
• Governing Body of Jehovah’s Witnesses
• Presiding Bishop or Primate

POINT 2: THE HEAD DIRECTS THE WHOLE BODY
“And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church…” (Ephesians 1:22–23)

“All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.” (Matthew 28:18)

So… if we reject being a part of the body of Christ, are we in Christ?

YES BECAUSE…‼️
“He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges him—the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day.” (John 12:48)

“If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” (John 8:31–32)

POINT 3: THE BODY MUST SUBMIT TO THE HEAD
“For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church… Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything.” (Ephesians 5:23–24)

We are the bride of Christ—therefore we are subject to Him.
We are not equals with Him.
