A sincere thank you to the Western North Dakota Synod - ELCA staff and all who contributed their time, talents, and dedication to making this year's Synod Assembly such a meaningful and successful gathering.
Centered on the theme "Walking Together" (John 10:1–9), the assembly provided opportunities for learning, worship, fellowship, and reflection. Throughout the weekend, we were enriched by engaging workshop presenters, inspired by a
beautiful Pow Wow demonstration and the opportunity to learn about the significance of each dancer's regalia, uplifted through music, devotions, and prayer, and blessed to share in moments of celebration and transition within our synod community.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Bishop Craig Schweitzer for his faithful leadership, guidance, and support over the past six years. His ministry has been a blessing to our synod, and we are deeply grateful for the journey we have shared together. As he begins his new role as Executive Director for the Christian Community and Leadership unit of the ELCA, we offer our prayers and best wishes to him and his family.
We also extend our congratulations and a warm welcome to Bishop-Elect Lisa Lewton. We look forward to her leadership and to continuing our shared ministry as we walk together in faith and service in the years ahead. Please join us in praying for Lisa as she prepares to answer God's call and begin her ministry as bishop.
As we return home inspired by this assembly, we invite all members of our congregation to walk alongside us in ministry. Whether through volunteering, serving, praying, or sharing your gifts, there is a place for everyone as we continue God's work together. United in Christ - Together We Serve!✝️🙏🏼💛
