We’re honored to have Laurie DeVernoe join us at Ignite.

Laurie is a speaker, author, and mental health coach who brings together biblical truth, practical wisdom, and a deep understanding of real-life challenges.

Through warm, down-to-earth teaching, she helps women move beyond simply getting through the day and into lives marked by purpose, health, and faith that takes root in everyday moments.

As a mom of five (including triplets), Laurie knows firsthand the beauty and complexity of family life. Her work invites women to slow down, breathe deeply, and cultivate rhythms shaped by grace, honesty, and hope.

In both her writing and speaking, Laurie gently reminds us that God is present—even in the hard places.

What can you expect from a day at Ignite?

This gathering is designed to be both spiritually refreshing and deeply relational - a space to pause, be encouraged, and encounter God alongside other women.

Throughout the day, you’ll experience:
– Teaching from three dynamic speakers
– Worship that creates space to meet with God
– Guided reflection and prayer
– A panel of local ministry leaders
– Opportunities to connect with women and ministries serving our communities
– Lunch and time to simply be together

The day is intentionally simple and meaningful. Not rushed. Not overwhelming.

Just space to step away from the noise and be renewed.

We’re so glad to have Melissa Gauy joining us at Ignite. 🌻

Melissa lives in upstate New York with her husband and four kids and serves in full-time ministry as Campus Chaplain at Silver Bay Spiritual Life Center, as well as Director of Women’s Ministry at her local church, where she’s been deeply rooted for over 20 years.

Her path has included everything from teaching as an English professor to writing, creating, and serving in all kinds of roles along the way. But through it all, her passion has remained the same: helping women see the beauty and power of Scripture in their everyday lives.

Melissa has a gift for connecting biblical truth to the ordinary moments, the places where joy and meaning often feel hardest to find.

She loves kids, tacos, books, and Jesus. We’re so looking forward to learning from her this October.
