Read the Bible in a Year!
It’s that time of the year again when I invite you to join me in reading through the Bible in a year. My reading plan begins on Friday, July 10th. A psalm, or part of one. Two chapters of the Old Testament, very rarely three or four shorter chapters. One chapter of the New Testament, or part of one. About 10 minutes a day. Bible reading is like investing. A little each day pays big dividends in the end. Hard copies of the plan can be found in the narthex of the church. Or you can text me at 507-202-2110 or email me at [email protected] and I will send you a PDF you can print.
This year's plan also includes a column to check off the day if you are reading through the ESV Chronological Bible (see link in the comments below).
The Bible is awesome. It is the very Word of the living God. When you hear or read it, the Holy Spirit is always at work strengthening your repentance and faith in Christ, and growing His fruit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control within you. If you've never read through the Bible, do it in the coming year. If you have read through the Bible, do it again in the coming year. For the Bible is the gift that keeps on giving. The more you hear, read, mark, learn, and inwardly digest it, the more blessings it unleashes in your life. Those blessings are as close to you as your Bible. Pick it up and read it!
