All those who live should no longer live for themselves, but for him who died for them and was raised again." We don't live for us anymore. We live for Jesus. And because we know what he did for us, we are compelled to live for him. And then we are compelled to be reconcilers for him. So, verse 16, "So from now on, we regard no one from a worldly point of view." Okay, do you know what that's saying? We don't judge anyone on how they dress or how they act any longer. We don't consider anyone unworthy of Jesus. Glory. We see them through the eyes of Jesus. So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come. The old has gone. The new is here. Do you wake up every day thanking God that the new is here? And I'll tell you, there is something about waking up every day and recognizing Jesus as my Lord for today. Amen.

And then with the mission to be part of fulfilling Christ's Great Commission. That is— man, guess what, guys? That's the whole point. That's the whole point. Who told you about Jesus? Someone, someone believed the truth of this so much that they told you about Jesus. And you're here today, I hope walking with Jesus as your Savior and Lord, because there's nothing else like it. There really isn't. And there are Christians, and there may be believers in this room that this is true of, that never tell another person. About Jesus in their lifetime. If that is you and that hasn't happened, man, my prayer is today is this, that this changes after today. That's my prayer. Because, because someone gave you the greatest gift you could ever receive in your life.

That's when it gets easier. It doesn't mean things don't stop coming at you, but it means you're not carrying it by yourself anymore. So do you know Jesus as your Savior and Lord? If you don't, just pray. Just say, Lord Jesus, I am a sinner. I know I can't be in heaven without you. I know I can't live a life without you. Forgive me of my sin. I repent of my sin. Come into my life and make me whole. And help me to walk in your ways. Thank you, Jesus. And that's it. Nothing earth-shaking's happening, but something heaven-shaking is happening. Amen.

Acts 13:2, while they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them. God speaks to us. Now this is where some people get a little bit, now wait a minute. Maybe I'm just hearing voices, or maybe it's the enemy, or how do I know? What's it say? The sheep know My voice. God speaks. The biggest question is: are we choosing to listen? Are we taking time to listen? I have heard Jesus speak, like I said, I mean, man. I've heard Him audibly one time. I was in college. I asked my roommate, did you hear that? My roommate says, "I didn't hear anything." I'm like, "I gotta go pray." It was clear as day. And it was specific instruction for what he was calling me to do. Specific. Other times it's just this right here where I know he's saying something. It's just right here. I know. I know.

I would say this: as a church here at Parkside Bible, we should desire to be led by God. We should be— we should desire to be led by the Holy Spirit. We should be— we should desire to be led by the Holy Spirit individually, and as a church family. That should be our hope. That should be our desire. And this is the cool thing. God wants to lead us individually and as a church family. God wants to lead us. Now, the thing is there's two ways that most people take that. The first way is, "Oh." God wants to control me, right? The other way is, oh, the Creator of the universe wants to help me have the best life possible. Those are the two ways. It's one way or the other, and that's it. And so that, you know, which one do you want? The Bible is full of examples where the Holy Spirit is leading people. Abraham, God calls him to leave his home. Moses is led through the burning bush to then lead Israel. Israel is led through the pillar of fire and through the cloud. Joshua is given specific directions for Jericho, and they work.

And when I made that decision, my decision was I will I will follow the path you lead me on from here on out. From here on out. Proverbs 3:5-6. Who can say it? Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding, but in all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your path straight. Isaiah 31:20. In these times you will hear a voice telling you which way to go. "This is the way, walk in it. Turning to the left, turning to the right." Read the verses right before that too. Oh, so good. So good. I can honestly say the Lord has directed my life, and I am thankful for it. I sit here today because I chose to say, "Holy Spirit, direct my path." And he's brought me right here.
