And everyone who confesses the name of the Lord must turn away from wickedness. We get to genuinely repent and trust Jesus. We get to fully rely on Jesus, not just doing good things. If we stood before God today, would our confidence be in what we've done or in Jesus alone? See, on Judgment Day, there will be surprises. Some who profess Jesus will discover they never truly obeyed Him. Our walk with Jesus is more than words. Some who serve Jesus will discover they never truly knew Him. Our walk with Jesus is not just motions either. Only those who, truly known by Jesus, will enter his kingdom? Our walk with Jesus is about abiding in Him. So this is the question, do you know Jesus? Do you know Jesus? You may know about him, but do you know Him?

And Jesus says, so some of that appearance and some of the looks of the people that might be in the church that we have to be careful of are people that Jesus says they come, their appearances are of this. They come in sheep's clothing. They look harmless. They often sound spiritual. They may even quote scripture. They may be charismatic and persuasive. They may appear successful. They may even claim to represent Christ. But we have to be careful because it's a costume. And maybe under that costume, it's not a shepherd, it's a wolf, okay? And a wolf's goal is not to help the sheep. A wolf's goal is to consume the sheep, okay? And so that's what we get to be careful of. That's what we have to be careful of. And we recognize that false teachers are not seeking Jesus, and they're not seeking to help people then seek Jesus. But they're really seeking power or popularity.

More noble character who would like to be a more noble character. So are we asking ourselves, who am I listening to regularly? What voices shape my thinking? Do I compare what I hear with God's Word? Are we asking ourselves, Those faithful Christians do not blindly accept every message. Test mine. Please test mine. I'm not a perfect man. How do we do this? Three ways. One, we read. We read. We get to be in and study God's Word. That's what we get to do. American Christians read too many books about God and the Bible and do not spend enough time with their heavenly Father in reading His Word. I'll say that again. We spend too much time reading books about God instead of reading His Word and spending time with Him.

Hey Parkside family! We hope some of you can plan to join us for Frink Park Worship Nights this Sunday when members of our worship team will be leading & singing!

We’re getting close! Here is the 2026 Frink Park Worship Nights schedule!

Here is what to expect!

Starting in June, Sunday evenings will be a time of worship at Frink Park in Clayton NY. These worship nights will run from 6:00pm to 7:30pm with groups and churches from the local areas. Along with worship, there will be opportunities to receive prayer from a prayer team there each Sunday night, as well as a handful of baptism events taking place during some worship nights!

And the reality is, none of those are the true tests biblically on whether someone is of Christ or not. A message can be moving and still be misleading. A speaker can be dynamic and still be dangerous. God calls us to be discerning. We get to listen wisely. John 10:27- 28 says, My sheep listen to my voice. I know them, they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish. No one will sn**ch them out of my hand. And so, as his sheep, we should know his voice. And so we should know when he is speaking, whether or not this is him or if this is someone else.
