Acts Church

Acts Church We are an Apostolic, Spirit-filled church in Watertown, TN with a heart for people and a vision to help everyone belong, believe, and become. You belong here.

Led by Pastor Cody Tipton, we believe God still changes lives through His Word and Spirit. We are a Spirit-filled, Bible-based church passionate about creating a welcoming environment where anyone can encounter God, grow in truth, and step into their purpose. Our heart is to see lives changed, families restored, and our community impacted by the power and presence of Jesus. Acts Church was born ou

t of a burden for Watertown. In 2015, Randell and Danielle Smitty felt called by God to plant a church in this community. Through prayer, sacrifice, and bold faith, they stepped out to follow that calling, moving their family to Watertown in 2016 and laying a strong foundation rooted in truth, love for people, and commitment to the community. From prayer walks around the town square to building meaningful connections, their obedience helped establish what this church is today. In June 2025, Cody and Savannah Tipton, along with their daughters, stepped into the next chapter of leadership. With a deep love for people and a passion for both ministry and community, they carry the vision forward with a clear focus:

A place where people belong before they believe, believe the truth of God’s Word, and become everything God has called them to be. Today, as Acts Church, we honor the foundation that has been laid while stepping forward with expectation for what God is continuing to do. We are committed to serving Watertown, reaching people, and creating a place where everyone can experience family and encounter God.

Wednesday night was SO GOOD! 🔥
Adults had a powerful move of God during our prayer service, while the children had their first Kid’s Church of the month. After service was over, we celebrated with ice cream.

September is FAMILY MONTH at Acts Church!

All month long, we’re setting aside special services to celebrate every generation, strengthen our families, and remember that what God is doing in us is bigger than just one generation.

A few important schedule changes for September: there will be no Cafe or Sunday School during Family Month. Every Sunday service will begin at 10 AM. We’ll also have a special split class for our children each Wednesday night throughout September.

Here’s what’s coming:

Children’s Sunday | September 6 at 10 AM
We’re starting Family Month by focusing on the next generation. This will be a fun, kid-centered service with action songs, themed decorations, and a great time together in the presence of God. Rev. Ryan Huling will be ministering.

Heritage Sunday | September 13 at 10 AM
A special Grandparents Day celebration as we honor the generations who came before us and thank God for the heritage and history of the church. We’ll sing some of the old songs, remember where God has brought us from, and celebrate the faith that has been passed down to us. Rev. Gary Vick will be ministering.

Revival Weekend | September 18–20
We believe strong families need a move of God. Join us for a powerful weekend of revival with Rev. Taylor Little.

September 18 | 7 PM
September 19 | Outreach Day
September 20 | 10 AM & 6 PM

Family Sunday | September 27 at 10 AM
We’ll close out Family Month by bringing it all together and focusing on the families and church family God is building right now. Pastor Cody Tipton will be ministering as we celebrate what it means to Belong. Believe. Become.

There’s a place for every generation at Acts Church. Bring your kids, invite your parents and grandparents, call your family, and make plans to spend September with us.

Family Month begins September 6 at 10 AM!

Acts Church celebrates one year of Pastor Tipton and his family leading, serving, loving, and laboring among us.

This past year has been filled with growth, vision, prayer, sacrifice, and the faithfulness of God. We are thankful for a pastor and family who carry a burden for this church, this city, and the Kingdom of God.

Acts Church is grateful for Pastor Cody, Sis. Savannah, Scarlett, and Laken. We honor their commitment, their love for people, and their heart to see lives changed through Jesus Christ.

Happy 1 Year Pastoral Anniversary to the Tipton family. We believe the best is still ahead.

What is Pentecost Sunday?

It is the day we remember when God poured out His Spirit in Acts 2.

The disciples were waiting.
God sent the promise.
The Church was born.
And ordinary people were filled with power to live boldly for Jesus.

Pentecost reminds us that Christianity is not just about believing something in your mind. It is about God transforming your life through the power of the Holy Ghost.

And the best part?

Peter said this promise is “unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off.”

That still includes us today.

Today is more than a calendar reminder. It’s an invitation to pause in the middle of busy schedules, endless noise, and everyday life… and pray.

Swipe through and take a moment to pray for:
• Your family
• Your church and leaders
• Your city and nation
• The dreams, callings, and burdens God has placed in your spirit

Prayer still changes things.
Prayer still brings peace.
Prayer still moves heaven and earth.

“The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” James 5:16

The best day of the week is TOMORROW! 🎉 Sunday is here, and we can’t wait to see YOU.

Hope.
Peace.
Joy.
A touch from God.
Healing.
Favor.
Restoration.

Do you need one of those?
Whatever you need, the Lord can provide. ♥️

Do not let your walk with God become a search for stuff. Blessings are beautiful, but His presence is better. Miracles are wonderful, but knowing Him is greater. We are not called to chase blessing after blessing. We are called to seek the face of the One who blesses.
