Summer Sandwiches in the Park is starting this week.

Summer Sandwiches in the Park

Who? - Families with children are invited to share a free picnic lunch with us. Young children should be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Where?
No lunch on Tuesday currently
Wednesday - Good Shepherd will be located at the Shelter in Riverside Park
Thursday - St. Luke’s will be at the Clark Park Shelter
Friday - Ebenezer will be at the Timothy Johnson Park Shelter

What? During the summer break, every Wednesday, through Friday, a free bag lunch will be provided. Each lunch will have a high protein choice (such as ham, peanut butter, cheese or tuna), fruit, vegetables, a cookie and a beverage (water, juice, milk). Books for all ages are available to take home and keep.

When? Each day we will serve lunches from 11:30am to 12:30pm.

The program starts on June 9th and ends on August 28th.

We hope to see you in the park!

Eat with us and stay to enjoy the park and time together.

Food will be served rain or shine!

On Thursday June 25 there will be a special worship opportunity at the Luther Prep chapel. It is the celebration of the Presentation of the Augsburg Confession.

We will still have our normal Thursday service that day. The service at Luther Prep will be a special service that will be a different theme than our Thursday and Sunday services.

Yesterday, Mrs. Stangl's 5th grade room invited Pastor Korthals for a session of "Ask a Pastor." The 5th graders each filled out question sheets with questions they wanted Pastor Korthals to answer. Take a look at some of the questions they asked! Pastor Korthals had a great time answering questions and discussing God's Word with them for nearly an hour and a half!

The 8th graders were invited to the parsonage this morning for "Breakfast at the Parsonage." After eating breakfast and getting a quick tour of the parsonage, Pastor Korthals led a Bible study focused on dealing with the pressures and challenges these young adults will face as they enter their high school years.
