10 YEARS AGO…IT ALL STARTED HERE. ❤️

On August 21, 2016, 336 people gathered at Watertown Middle School for our very first preview service. And just like that, the journey of Waters Edge Church began!

That first service was followed by two more preview services on September 11 and September 25 before we began meeting regularly on Sundays.

But church wasn’t just happening inside those school walls—it took an amazing team of volunteers to make it happen every single week. From setting up to tearing down, to moving tables and creating welcoming spaces; so many people faithfully gave their time and energy to help build something God was doing.

These pictures take us back to those first few services—the people, the worship, the smiles, the setup, and the beginnings of something that would become so much more than we could have imagined.

What a beautiful reminder of where we started…and how faithful God has been for the last 10 years!

And we’re just getting started!

We can’t wait to celebrate with you this weekend! 👏

LOOKING BACK AT 10 YEARS IN A WEEK! 🎉

Before there was a building…there was a vision. ✨

Ten years ago, Pastor Phil, Lead Pastor of The Bridge Fellowship, announced that we would be planting a church campus in Watertown, Tennessee—TBF Watertown.

And then…we got to work! 🙏

As we begin this week-long look back, we’re remembering the incredible staff and volunteers who rolled up their sleeves, all of the people who said YES to the vision, the families who showed up, and all of the little moments God used to build something much bigger than we could have imagined.

Message From Pastor TJ:

This Sunday, we’re continuing our current series, THE CREED: WE BELIEVE and talking about one of the greatest promises of our faith—Jesus is coming again.

As Amber and I have walked through our cancer journey together, hope has become more than something we talk about. It’s something we’ve learned to hold on to.

We’ve learned that hope isn’t pretending everything is okay. It’s knowing Jesus is faithful even when everything isn’t okay.

Cancer has reminded us how temporary this life is—but also that this life isn’t the end of the story.

Jesus is coming again, and that future hope changes how we live today.

If you could use some hope right now, join us this Sunday at 10 AM at Waters Edge. We’d love to see you there.

We’re kicking off a brand-new 6-week study: “What It Means to Be the Church.”

Because Jesus didn’t just call us to go to church—He called us to BE the Church.

Over the next six weeks, we’ll walk through a study from Ben Stuart and talk about what it looks like to live as the people of God together.
