WOW! What an incredible day! 🎉

Thanks to the amazing support of our community, our car wash was a huge success, raising over $1,400 for our program!

We want to extend a very special thank you to the IHC Rotary Club and Madame Minter-Powell for their hard work, generosity, and partnership. The IHC students worked tirelessly alongside us and truly made this event possible. We are so grateful for everything they did.

Thank you as well to everyone who came out, got their cars washed, donated, and supported our participants. Your generosity means so much and will make a real difference.

The IHC Rotary Club is continuing their efforts this afternoon, raising funds for their sister school in Tanzania until 4pm today. If you haven’t had a chance to stop by and support them, please consider doing so!

Thank you again to everyone who helped make today such a wonderful success! ❤️🚗🧽

On May 9th, our Friends of Jesus class gathered together to celebrate the beautiful tradition of May Crowning.

The tradition of dedicating May to Mary dates back to the medieval period, when May marked the end of winter and the beginning of a new season filled with life, growth, and beauty. It is a month that reminds us of new beginnings and invites us to grow closer to God through gratitude, prayer, and devotion to Mary.

Each year, our participants look forward to this special celebration. From crowning Mary with flowers to joining together in prayer and song, May Crowning has become a meaningful tradition that brings our Friends of Jesus community together in faith and love. It is always a beautiful reminder of Mary’s gentle care for all of us and the joy that comes from honoring her together.

On April 25th, we held our annual retreat, which was graciously hosted by First Presbyterian Church. We were honored to have Pastor Andrew Long as our inspiring keynote speaker, who shared a beautiful message on our theme, “Finding Joy in the Journey.”

We enjoyed a wonderful lunch and meaningful workshops, including a craft led by Alice Busler, music by Sarah Monnat, and prayer by Sister Jackie Sellappan. It was a day filled with fellowship, fun, and learning.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to First Presbyterian Church of Watertown, N.Y. and Pastor Andrew Long for their generous hospitality. We would also like to express our deepest gratitude to our dedicated teachers, committee, and board for their continued support throughout the year; their commitment makes everything we do possible.

It has truly been a wonderful year!

On March 28th, we had a Teaching Mass with our Friends of Jesus class, and it was such a special and meaningful experience.

We were so blessed to have Father Frank Natale and Maura Kilbride from Our Lady of the Sacred Heart join us. We learned about the parts of the Mass, and Maura shared a beautiful lesson on Holy Week that helped prepare our hearts for Easter.

A huge thank you to them both for all they did—we are so grateful! It was a wonderful day filled with faith, learning, and joy.

We started the second half of our program year with a joyful celebration. At all three of our on-site classes, we held special birthday celebrations — a wonderful opportunity to honor everyone's special day together. The day was filled with prayer, uplifting music, creative crafts, and fun games.

Our prayer service theme this year was “Seeing Ourselves Through God's Eyes," reminding us to embrace our true worth and identity in His love.
