Shabbat Shalom!
May your sabbath be blessed.
The feast of first fruits was seven weeks ago, and now Pentecost is here. Time seems to move so quickly these days!
Like many, we don’t do Torah because it makes us more correct than anyone else, we do it because that’s where having life starts. It’s the first steps we take to begin having the Lord bring around a change that alters your life completely. It’s not about head knowledge, it’s not about being seen as someone who is somehow more pleasing to the Lord because of their actions. It’s about the healing of the spirit, healing of the body and healing of the soul. It’s about wholeness, it’s about setting aside all the things that hold us back from a closer walk with our maker. Doing Torah isn’t the end, it’s the beginning, and Pentecost is that beginning. It isn’t just a day for waving bread as some may think, nor a day for various traditions. It’s the day the Holy Spirit fell upon the early church. It’s the day the early church stepped into new covenant, bringing in the long awaited expansion of the Torah they were already following. It’s the day the early church had access to Yahweh through the sacrifice of Yeshua to do what Torah had trained them to do. Torah never went away, it was finally unlocked to be used as it was intended. The Day of Atonement is awesome, and holy, but Pentecost is the day life was poured out for us. Pentecost prepares us for Atonement. It isn’t just a high holy day, it’s the day for life. If you follow Torah because Yahweh called you to it, you know what I mean. Doing Pentecost as Yahweh intended changes your life, and brings us into even more life.
Pentecost.
It’s here.
