This is a long teaching that details all of what scripture has to say about baptism. In this teaching, we will look at the various baptisms seen in the Bible, and we will look at various passages that are often taken out of context to try and prove that water baptism saves. We will also look closely at the book of Acts and understand what we are seeing in regards to the baptism of the Holy Spirit and water baptism.

Finding a Home Church or Fellowship!

Today its become increasingly difficult to find a place to fellowship. A church is composed of numerous elements.

When looking for a church to make your home there are certain elements necessary for it to be healthy and of God. The foremost is that they uphold the Bible as their authority, being the Word of God.

Find out if they teach through the Bible, not just using certain doctrines, but do they teach the whole counsel of God.

Is the church operating from Scripture as best as possible and are they feeding the sheep for growth in their spiritual lives to make them mature.

Are they Christ centered and preaching the gospel of grace through faith alone for salvation.

Is the Church centered on the needs of its people, not neglecting its own, especially those out on the mission-field.

Are sheep producing sheep which will turn into growth for the Church, or are they relying only on the leaders to do the work of the ministry.

The leaders are to be proven men of the faith adhering to the Biblical requirements.

Are they teaching the essentials of the faith to the new believers and right doctrine and practice for the mature to find their purpose in God (1 Tim.4:6, 13-16.)

Ask them if they accept the Bible as inerrant and infallible, and that it has been preserved throughout history.

Find out if they believe Jesus is the Son of God and what do they mean by this (almost all cults will agree with this on the outset). Ask them, is Christ fully God and fully man, did He raise from the dead bodily?

Do they teach and uphold doctrine especially on the nature of Christ being God in the flesh and God being Tri-une in nature.

Does the church encourage you or help you to discern and answer false religious systems.

Do they teach how to witness to other religions?

Do they recognize the cults and are they equipping people to know the differences between what is true and what is error and equipping them in apologetics to give them confidence in their witnessing to them?

The Word of God warns about those coming from within the church that would actually be the ones who tear it apart. This would be done by what they teach which would be patently false. The false teaching is the leaven, it puffs up. All false teachings come from leaven….Pride.

Since they are in the Church, it only makes sense that they would teach from the Bible but distort its message. As Paul says in 2 Cor.11:13-15 they are false apostles and messengers looking like those who teach righteousness. They may look good on the outside but the life of Christ is not there on the inside and their messages will always be with some scripture, but they distort its meaning. Their focus will be their own church, special group or organization instead of Christ.

Loyalty and respect are good qualities but we cannot fall into the trap that because “so and so” was in ministry for 20-40 years or we know them personally that they can't say something terribly wrong. True men of God are willing to be corrected from the Word, no matter who spoke a certain teaching or prophecy.

Anyone that leads people beyond the Scripture, instead of correctly explaining what is contained in it is being spiritually destructive to himself and others who listen to him. A good teacher can be easily identified as: “holding fast the faithful word as he has been taught, that he may be able, by sound doctrine, both to exhort and convict those who contradict” (Titus 1:9). We are told to “Take heed to yourself and to the doctrine”(1 Timothy 4:16).

You can tell what a pastor is like if he keeps talking about himself (apart from that occasional experience for illustration) especially about all the miracles he’s done or the people he’s witnessed to and saved.

If they want you to listen to them instead of the Scripture, this is a warning. For example if a pastor lets false teaching in because their friend is involved and he has nothing to say on it. Or they side with a person that is clearly doing something wrong, unbiblical, because of friendship it is evident that something is not right.

Be wise saints. Know the difference between a good shepherd after Jesus and a hireling just looking for attention, money and power.

If your pastor isn’t feeding you Truth than he’s feeding you to the wolves. A good shepherd, like Jesus, protects the sheep at all costs. No Exception.

This is NOT biblical, but demonic. There is no Biblical basis for any ”apostle” ordaining another apostle.

The NAR plague is spreading to furthest villages of even our beautiful State Alaska.

These people are lying and taking advantage of emotionally hyped up people.

We stand in accordance with the Word of God and therefore with the God of the Word, against this and all who are in support of it.

Many know already how difficult it is to find sound Bible teaching fellowships locally to attend.

The problem is that many pseudo churches, hyper-charismatic groups and even cults use this fact to lure in unsuspecting believers.

We don’t unite on account of what we are against. We unite on the Truth of God’s Word and the expositional teaching of God’s Word In Context.
