October is a month of honor, gratitude, and celebration at Davenport Temple Church of God in Christ as we pause to recognize two faithful servants who have poured so much into this ministry and God’s people.

On Sunday, October 11 at 5:00 PM, we will celebrate First Lady Sheila Woolard during our First Lady Appreciation Sunday. We thank God for her grace, faithfulness, love, support, and devoted service to the Davenport Temple family.

Then, on Sunday, October 18 at 10:45 AM, we will honor our beloved Pastor, Bishop Leroy J. Woolard, as he celebrates 35 years of pastoral leadership at Davenport Temple. For thirty-five years, Bishop Woolard has faithfully preached the Gospel, shepherded God’s people, and helped carry the vision and ministry of Davenport Temple forward.

We invite our members, family, friends, former members, and well-wishers to join us for these special celebrations of faithful service and enduring legacy.
