The Washington Cemetery was established in 1853
and remains the largest not-for-profit - traditional - all faiths Cemetery

acres of manicured grounds in North Franklin Township and offers a
diverse selection of services and merchandise to meet the needs of
the families we serve.

Washington Cemetery is pleased to be working with Alpha/Omega Communications on the construction of a "First Responders" Memorial. The imemorial will honor firefighters/police officers and emergency medical personnel. Jim Prokell - a Pittsburgh area artist and sculptor - created the design. We held the official groundbreaking yesterday with emergency workers - government officials and cemetery representatives on hand. Thanks to all who had a part in this effort - it's a wonderful tribute to a group of individuals who RUN IN to dangerous situations while others are RUNNING OUT.
