Between the word of promise and the place of it's fulfillment is called the place of transition.
Transition is the place where what was is no longer adequate and what is to come is not yet fully manifested.
Transition does not allow you to be comfortable where you are, and only live by faith for where you are going.
Transition is the place that you have moved to that only provides you with a
p.o. box and not a street or permanent address.
Transition is the place where you live out of the boxes of faith and eat from the dishes of expectation.
However do not let the place of transition undervalue the place that the Lord is taking you to relationally, financially and physically.
And to follow up from Keith Duncan - God can take forever to do a suddenly in your life.

Is. 30:18 - Therefore the Lord will wait, that He may be gracious to you; And therefore He will be exalted, that He may have mercy on you. For the Lord is a God of justice; Blessed are all those who wait for Him. (NKJV) But God’s not finished. He’s waiting around to be gracious to you. He’s gathering strength to show mercy to you. God takes the time to do everything right—everything. Those who wait around for him are the lucky ones. (Message)
So on the way home I was pondering this process of waiting on Him. I was thinking how very difficult it can seem; how uncomfortable it can feel; how vulnerable it leaves us; how frustrated we become while we wait. But it seems here that He is waiting as well - He is waiting until everything that is involved in His divine plan for each of us is perfectly lined up. He is waiting until the work that needs to be done in our heart and soul is accomplished. He is waiting for us to come to the place of surrendering our plans to His. And while He is waiting, He is being gracious to us - because if He were not gracious, we could all easily become kindling! Part of what we learn in the waiting is that He alone is God - not us. We learn that the best way through the waiting is worship, giving Him all honor and exalting Him above all things - even above waiting. He is a just God, holy and righteous, and because He takes the time to do everything right, when we surrender to His wisdom and timing, we receive the blessing. There comes that perfect kairos (right, opportune, supreme) moment when the waiting culminates in the promise and boom! We are where we long to be - smack dab in the middle of our destiny. It's worth the wait. I'm sure of it.

From 2016 - transition is not an easy place to be. I can't go "back where I came from" and I can't move into the "next" until God's watch strikes go. Betting some of you out there in Facebook land are in the same place. Well, here's what I think may work for us - "occupy til I come." The end of Luke 19:13 - those 4 words - tell us to be busy about the normal, everyday things that God has handed us to do until the appointed time of change that He has for us. While we're occupying, He's busy working behind the scenes, in, around and through us, to position us perfectly for the move from then to now. I struggle some days, but I always come back to the knowledge that God is working on my behalf and as long as I stay focused on Him - love Him, honor Him, obey Him, trust Him - He will keep me at peace in the process. So we learn to enjoy the ride - let's sit down, buckle up and hang on - 'cause when He's ready, He'll accelerate the process and take us from 0-60 in what seems like a matter of seconds!
2021 - I feel like He's revving the engine...
