In just 2 weeks, our Awana Clubs will be starting back up, and we are looking forward to another great year! During the school year at Awana, children have the opportunity to belong to a fun group of caring adults and kids, believe in the truths that are taught in the Bible, and become a follower of Jesus! Mission Trip Weekend 2026! Our teens went to Holly Springs, NC to meet, serve, and learn from NAM church planters, David and Taylor Landers! They were stretched outside their comfort zones and hopefully brought back ways to spread the love of Jesus back home. It really was both eye opening and challenging to see church planting ministry up close! While our weekend was short, the memories and experiences from this trip were impactful! Please keep the Landers family in your prayers as they continue planting Discover Church in Holly Springs!

With the National Convention and CTS Expo behind us, we spent some time checking out Hayden Falls yesterday and riding coasters at Kings Island today! Please pray for safe travels for our group as we drive home tomorrow!

We are proud of how our youth represented us at the Vertical Three CTS Expo this week! We can’t believe the National is over, but we are already excited to start preparing for next year’s CTS competitions in the next few months. Landon Moss has mentioned how encouraging and challenging his time at Truth & Peace was, and Ava Ormand did a great job volunteering as one of the convention photographers!

• Reagan May, 1st Place-Bible Memorization
• Baylee Albach, 1st Place-Drawing
• Morgan Eubanks, 1st Place-Devotion

National Convention and CTS Expo update:

Yesterday and today, we got to watch Morgan and Reagan compete in Bible Memorization, and they did a great job! We are proud of them, and grateful for the opportunity they had to compete at the National level this year. We are also thankful for Mrs. Melinda and the time she’s put into coaching them this past year! We also got to see Baylee’s drawing and Ava’s photo on display with other competitors’ entries. We find out the outcome of CTS competition at the awards’ ceremony tomorrow night.

We’ve also heard great messages each night at the V3 conference as our students and families were encouraged to live out the Beattitudes, be the Salt and Light, and love our enemies as Jesus commands in Matthew 5.

Our group has been so encouraged as we’ve gathered with our FWB church family, and we are looking forward to the last day tomorrow!

This morning, our crew heading to the National Convention of Free Will Baptists left at 6:00am for Columbus, OH. We wanted to check in to share with everyone that we have arrived safely! We ended our day with dinner at Raising Cane’s. What you see in the picture below is their votes on whether or not Raising Cane’s is better than Zaxby’s. In the comments, share your vote on Zaxby’s vs. Canes!

We have a couple prayer requests for tomorrow:
1. That it would be a great day of worship and encouragement with our FWB family from around the country and world.
2. That Pastor Darren and Pastor Drew and family would arrive here in Columbus safely.
