The Bood of Jesus Christ

The blood of Jesus Christ holds profound significance in Christian theology, symbolizing redemption and the cleansing of sin. According to Hebrews 9:22, "without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness," emphasizing that Jesus’ sacrificial death was necessary for the atonement of humanity’s sins. In 1 John 1:7, it is written, "the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin," reinforcing the belief that through His sacrifice, believers are washed clean and made righteous before God. This transformative power of Christ’s blood not only provides forgiveness but also establishes a new covenant between God and humanity, as stated in Luke 22:20, where Jesus declares, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you." Thus, the blood of Jesus is central to the Christian faith, offering hope and redemption to all who believe.

Gods Word

Reading God's Word daily is essential for spiritual growth and guidance in our lives. As stated in Psalm 119:105, "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path," it illuminates our journey, helping us make wise decisions in a world filled with uncertainties. Additionally, James 1:22 encourages us to "be doers of the word, and not hearers only," emphasizing the importance of applying scripture to our daily actions. By immersing ourselves in the teachings of the Bible, we not only deepen our understanding of God’s will but also cultivate a life that reflects His love and grace, guiding us towards a more fulfilling and purposeful existence.

Excellence

Excellence is not merely a goal; it is a commitment to live out our purpose with the utmost integrity and diligence. In Colossians 3:23-24, we are reminded, "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward." This scripture emphasizes that our efforts should reflect the value of the sacrifice made for us. Just being "good enough" undermines the greatness of God’s gift in sending His Son for our redemption. As we strive for excellence in our lives, we honor that sacrifice and fulfill our calling to be stewards of the talents and opportunities bestowed upon us. In every endeavor, let us aim to glorify God, demonstrating that we recognize the worth of what has been given to us.

Be that one,

Living on the farm in Juanita, PA, was a time filled with simple pleasures and persistent people who embodied God’s love through their actions. I often recall how Gloria would invite me to church, and I would invariably respond with a firm "nope." Meanwhile, Emma would find me in my garage, quietly slipping a church bulletin and a plate of raisin-filled cookies onto the car hood I was working under, as I lay hidden or tucked away in a corner. These moments, though I evaded them at the time, were seeds of faith being sown. From my childhood, Virginia's impact was profound; she would grab me, a reluctant child, and pray fervently over me, declaring that God had plans to use me. She would point a determined finger at me, instilling a promise of divine purpose.

Reflecting on these memories, it's clear how pivotal people like Virginia, Gloria, and Emma are in our lives—persistent beacons of God’s grace and guidance. They embody the scriptural call found in 1 Thessalonians 5:11, "Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing." Their encouragement and the spiritual direction spoken over me were not just kind gestures; they were acts of planting heavenly seeds in sometimes stubborn soil. These experiences highlight the importance of being someone who not only lifts others up but also courageously speaks God's love into their lives, much like Barnabas, who was known for his encouragement of the believers (Acts 4:36). Today, I am deeply thankful for their words and actions, which eventually helped steer me back to the path God had laid out for me. Their example serves as a poignant reminder that our persistence and loving interventions can indeed bring about transformation in others, just as it did in me.

While Christ was on the cross, we were on His mind. It is a profound realization to consider that amidst the unimaginable pain and suffering, Jesus' thoughts were focused on us. In that moment, He carried the weight of our sins and the burden of our salvation. He endured the agony of the crucifixion, fully aware of the significance of His sacrifice for each and every one of us. Meanwhile, in our daily lives filled with busyness and distractions, we often struggle to keep scripture and spiritual matters at the forefront of our minds. We get caught up in the demands of the world, the pressures of work, and the pursuit of personal goals. Yet, let us remember that while we may be preoccupied with these things, Christ's sacrifice and love for us remain constant. It is a humbling reminder to prioritize our relationship with Him above all else and to seek His guidance in all aspects of our lives.

The song "Red Letters" by Crowder is a powerful and inspiring song that relates to our walk in life. The lyrics of the song remind us of the significance of the red letters in the Bible, which represent the words spoken by Jesus. Just as Jesus' words are life-giving and transformative, the song encourages us to find hope, redemption, and purpose in His teachings. In Matthew 4:4, Jesus says, "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God." This verse emphasizes the importance of seeking and embracing the words of Jesus as a guide in our journey of faith. The song reminds us that through His red letters, Jesus offers us forgiveness, love, and salvation, and it encourages us to live our lives in obedience to His words. As we walk through the ups and downs of life, the song reminds us to hold on to the truth found in the red letters of Jesus and to let His words shape and transform our hearts and actions.

Being vaccinated from diseases we encounter while traversing this journey called life extends beyond the physical realm into the spiritual, where the blood of Christ serves as the ultimate antidote. Just as vaccines fortify our bodies against pathogens, the sacrifice of Jesus offers spiritual healing to all who embrace it. In 1 Peter 2:24, it is written, "He himself bore our sins in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed." This profound act of redemption ensures that we not only find personal salvation but also become instruments of healing for others, spreading the grace and love of Christ to those we encounter on our journey. Just as vaccines create herd immunity, our faith in Christ creates a community of believers who support and uplift one another, sharing the healing power of His blood.

Just as women highlight their hair to transform its color and enhance its beauty, so does God transform our hearts and lives to reflect His divine nature. When women choose to highlight their hair, they select specific strands to be lifted and illuminated, creating a vibrant and multidimensional effect. In the same way, God carefully selects and transforms the areas of our hearts that need His touch, bringing out the beauty and radiance within us. In 2 Corinthians 3:18, it is written, "And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit." Just as the process of highlighting requires precision and patience, God patiently works in our lives, molding us into His image and filling us with His love and grace. Through this transformative process, we become a reflection of His character, shining His light and love to the world around us.

As we walk this journey called life, it is comforting to know that God has a plan for each and every one of us. In Jeremiah 29:11, it is written, "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." This verse reminds us that God has a purpose for our lives, and His intentions are for our well-being and success. We may face challenges and uncertainties along the way, but we can trust in God's plan and His promises. Psalm 32:8 assures us, "I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you." God is our guide and counselor, providing us with wisdom and guidance as we navigate through life's ups and downs. With faith and trust in His plan, we can find peace and assurance, knowing that He is with us every step of the way.
Blessings,
Pastor Logan
