📢 IMPORTANT PRODUCE DISTRIBUTION UPDATE - CANCELATION

Good morning! Unfortunately, due to a mechanical failure involving the produce truck several hours away, we must cancel this week’s produce distribution.

The distribution has been rescheduled for next Tuesday, September 15, from 9:00–11:00 a.m., or while supplies last.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience and understanding. We look forward to serving you next week!

🎉🌟 **CLUB316 TROOPS IS BACK!** 🌟🎉

Calling all parents! The Salvation Army Washington Worship & Service Center is excited to kick off our **2026–2027 Club316 Troops Program** on **Tuesday, September 22nd!** 🥳

Club316 is more than just another activity for your kids—it’s a place where kida ages 4 through 17 can **make friends, learn new skills, grow in confidence, discover their God-given abilities, and have a whole lot of FUN along the way!**

Through The Salvation Army’s character-building Troops programs, children participate in hands-on activities, games, Bible lessons, service projects, badge work, special events, and other experiences designed to develop **character, leadership, teamwork, decision-making, and practical life skills**. Most importantly, we want every child who walks through our doors to know that **God loves them, they have value, and they were created for a purpose!** ❤️

Our Club316 groups include:

🌙 **Moonbeams** – Our youngest boys & girls
☀️ **Sunbeams** – Elementary-age girls
🛡️ **Girl Guards** – Older girls
🏕️ **Boys Adventure Corps** – Boys learning through adventure, achievement, service & fun!

The Salvation Army's Troops programs are built around helping young people develop their individual strengths and character through Biblical principles while building friendships and learning new skills.

S.W.A.G. is about giving teens a place where they can **BE THEMSELVES, HAVE FUN, BUILD FRIENDSHIPS, GROW IN THEIR FAITH, and KNOW THEY BELONG!** ❤️

We are excited to announce that The Salvation Army Washington Worship & Service Center’s Music & Arts Program is kicking off a brand-new year on Wednesday, September 23rd! 🎉

Our Music & Arts Program gives children and young people the opportunity to discover new talents, develop their God-given gifts, build confidence, make new friends, and have FUN in a positive, encouraging Christian environment.

Club 316 Troops is The Salvation Army’s fun, faith-based character-building program for children, designed to help kids grow spiritually, socially, mentally, and physically in a safe and encouraging environment. Through hands-on activities, games, crafts, Bible lessons, service projects, badge work, life skills, outdoor adventures, and plenty of fun, children build friendships while learning important values like responsibility, kindness, teamwork, leadership, and service to others. Club 316 gives kids a place to belong, discover new interests, grow in confidence, and learn more about Jesus while having a great time along the way!

The Salvation Army Washington S.W.A.G. Youth Group (Saved With Amazing Grace) is a fun, welcoming, and faith-centered program designed for teens ages 12–18 to come together, build friendships, have fun, and grow in their relationship with God. S.W.A.G. gives teens a safe place to be themselves while enjoying games, activities, trips, food, community service opportunities, Bible discussions, and plenty of time to hang out together. Our goal is to help young people know that they are loved by God, valued for who they are, and created with a purpose, while giving them a community of friends and leaders who will encourage and support them along the way.

The Salvation Army Washington/Greene County Emergency Disaster Services team responded yesterday to Rices Landing to support first responders during a water search for a missing person. Our team was honored to provide much-needed hydration, nourishment, and care to first responders from Greene County, Fayette County, Washington County, Westmoreland County and West Virginia who were working tirelessly throughout the search.
