Branches of Washington is a new initiative created by members of several Washington churches intended to help break the cycle of poverty for Washington’s families. In conversations with staff at all seven Washington schools, a consistent concern is that many children struggle to make the best of their school years due to a lack of adequate housing, transportation, food, or clothing.

How to help

1st Thursday & 3rd Monday of every month

Taking Inventory: Go through the donated bags of clothing. Organize the clothes, wash (if needed, using the washer and dryer at Branches), neatly fold and put in appropriate bins based on gender/size. (about 2 hours per month) Those interested can contact Alisa or Kristin at [email protected]

We are filled with so much gratitude as we say a bittersweet goodbye to Vicar Kristen and her husband, Steve. They have been such a cornerstone of our ministry these past few years!

From preparing delicious, homemade meals for every single Wednesday evening gathering, to their tireless help with AV, Clubhouse, fellowship, communion, and teaching Sunday school—they have truly poured their hearts into this community.

We are so excited for their next adventure as Vicar Kristen accepts a new call through collaborative learning in Shipman. While we will miss you both dearly, we are thrilled to see how your ministry continues to grow. Thank you for everything!

“Love is patient; love is kind; love is not envious or boastful or arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable; it keeps no record of wrongs; it does not rejoice in wrongdoing but rejoices in the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things” (1 Corinthians 13:4-7).

Honoring Our Heroes: A Heartfelt Thank You from Washington 🇺🇸

Monday, the heartbeat of our beautiful town of Washington felt a little stronger, a little prouder, and deeply united. As the Memorial Day parade moved through our historic streets, it was a beautiful reminder of the incredible community we share—and the profound cost of the freedoms we enjoy every single day.

To all of our veterans, and to the brave service members who made the ultimate sacrifice: Thank you.

We are endlessly grateful for your courage, your dedication, and the sacrifices made by both you and your families. Seeing our community line the sidewalks, waving flags, and coming together to honor our nation’s heroes was truly inspiring.
