On this week's Politics Hour, Virginia House Delegate (and State Senator-elect) Danica Roem said she wants the Digital Gateway data center project vote that's scheduled to be voted on next week to be pushed to 2024.

"There's no way anyone can justify that this is ready for primetime. By the way, when I heard the argument that comes back to me, ‘This is a local land use issue, Danica, state government needs to stay out of it,’ I fundamentally disagree with that."

Nine more cannabis dispensary licenses will be awarded in Prince George’s County by the end of the year.

That has prompted the county council to propose a bill that would only allow dispensaries to operate in industrial zones, and not in highly visible commercial and retail areas.

It mirrors a bill passed in March restricting to***co shops.

On Friday’s The Politics Hour with Kojo Nnamdi, Council Vice Chair Wala Blegay weighed in.

"When we have concerns of loitering and crime or any of the concerns we have, it is always near a to***co and liquor store."
