Our ministry team in Bethlehem recently investigated claims by the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) that it supplies food to 1.6 million Palestinians across Gaza and the West Bank. After interviewing local Christian pastors, charity leaders, and residents across Bethlehem, Beit Jala, and Beit Sahour, our findings were clear: not a single Christian family receives food aid from the UN.

While demanding hundreds of millions in Western tax dollars, the UN operates out of a secure compound in Jerusalem. Their aid distribution is funneled through local mosques and Islamic networks, completely bypassing the dwindling Christian minority.

Because international institutions ignore our brothers and sisters, our project, Heart for the Persecuted Church, delivers direct food assistance to vulnerable Christian families.

Many of these households care for family members with severe, permanent disabilities. We also support shelters like Home of God’s Child, which provides sanctuary for handicapped and abandoned Christian children.

Conditions on the ground have reached a critical point. Over two years of total collapse in tourism have stripped away Christian livelihoods...

Meet Amar: A Story of Hope & Growth

At just two and a half years old, Amar is showing us all what resilience looks like! Amar came to a Bethlehem shelter when he was just one year old. Over the past few months, he has reached incredible milestones—from walking independently without a walker to climbing stairs all on his own!

One of his caretakers shared:
"These may seem like small milestones, but they are tremendous achievements that bring both him and us great joy."

Amar is full of joy, loves expressing himself with new phrases, and is a big fan of pizza!

Your support of our Bethlehem Food and Diaper Programs help ensure persecuted Christians like Amar get the nutrition and support they need.

Thank you for helping us nourish bright futures!

Bethlehem sits in an eerie, painful silence. The vibrant streets where our Lord was born—once filled with pilgrims and visitors—are now empty. With tourism completely frozen by the ongoing conflict, the local economy has utterly collapsed.

Unemployment has skyrocketed above 80%, leaving families with no income, no safety net, and no clear way to provide for their daily needs. Families have fallen far past what many would consider rock bottom. Yet, into this deep darkness, our Diaper and Food Distribution Programs have become a vital vessel of mercy.

For the poorest, the elderly, and disabled Christians who are completely unable to work during this wartime crisis, these programs are quite literally a lifeline. Currently the diaper program is providing critically needed diapers to severely disabled adults, many of them elderly.

The diaper program is also assisting vulnerable children with severe disabilities at an orphanage near the Church of the Nativity that traditionally marks the birthplace of Jesus.

Our food program is also continuing during the war devastated economy. We deliver monthly food packages to families across Bethlehem. Desperation is growing and more families are seeking aid because of lack of work. Several families, including widows caring for grandchildren, have been added to our aid lists just in the last month.

We now have a lengthy waiting list!

The future of the Christian presence in the Holy Land hangs precariously in the balance, with believers now making up less than one percent of the population. If these families cannot survive..

Heartbreaking news from our Nigerian director, Joshua. Where a peaceful community stood just days ago, only devastation, bloodstains, and grief remain. 💔

Early Monday morning, armed attackers ruthlessly invaded the Kawel Community in Plateau State. Opening fire without warning, they targeted innocent residents in their homes and even stormed a local health center. At least 22 precious lives were violently cut short.

This tragedy is part of a deeply alarming surge of violence against vulnerable communities in Plateau State, where basic religious freedom and the right to live in peace are under constant threat.

We cannot stay silent. We are committed to standing with our persecuted brothers and sisters, and they urgently need our help today.

How You Can Help Right Now:

🙏 PRAY: Lift up the Kawel community. Pray for comfort for the brokenhearted, swift healing for the wounded, and divine protection over Plateau State.

📲 GIVE: We urgently need financial support to provide direct, critical aid to these devastated families. Your immediate gift delivers emergency relief to grieving survivors on the ground.

👉 Head to https://heartforthepersecuted.org/donate-social/ to stand with these defenseless believers in their moment of greatest need.

On May 6th our Nigeria mission witnessed firsthand the near daily reality of Jihadist persecution in Nigeria. Our Nigerian Director, Joshua, led a team into the Fan district of Barkin Ladi following yet another Sunday massacre that struck at the heart of Plateau State where we work.

The Fulani jihadists attacked on a Sunday evening, this time on May 3rd. One of the five youths murdered that night was Obadiah, the older brother of three younger children currently under our care at the orphanage.

The attack occurred a mere 35 miles from the orphanage and came suddenly just like the attack on Palm Sunday evening, as families gathered in the Gari Ya Waye district. The attacks in this area by the Fulani are getting more intense.

Joshua comforts and prays with relatives of the victims
In a heartbreaking scene, our team transported his three siblings back to their village to mourn.

The solemn visit was a stark reminder of why our work exists: we are not just caring for “orphans” in an abstract sense; we are caring for children whose families are being systematically destroyed by the Suni Muslim Fulani.

In March I reported that the uncle of one of the students in our transition program was murdered by the Fulani in the same area.

The tragedy did not end with the attack that Sunday. While our team was in Barkin Ladi, more murders were committed by the Fulani.

Just a short distance away in the neighboring community of Nding, seven more Christians were slaughtered.

Showing their contempt for Christians, even those burying their dead, the Fulani militias attacked the mass burial site...
