Sixteen students from Bowling Green State University, Ohio traveled to Guyana during their spring break this Lenten season for an unforgettable FOCUS mission trip.

These young volunteers came with the desire to serve Christ and to offer their energy, time, and sufferings for the sake of other souls. They organized and ran after-school activities in Charity and Pomeroon (the area of mission served by our small religious family). People of various ages participated in sports, catechetical talks, rosary processions and Holy Mass, followed by a talent show on the last day. The volunteers truly spread the joy that comes with being a Catholic Christian.

We pray for the continued fruits of their work and for more young people to be generous in giving their time and talents in helping the missions of the Church throughout the world.

47 men and women did the St. Ignatius Spiritual Exercises in English and Spanish in Wauchula, Florida last week. We continue to pray for the fruits of the exercises!

See the flyer for DC-area Spiritual Exercises taking place from March to May.

“The Spiritual Exercises are the best means that I can think of, experience and understand in this life, both to help a person improve himself and be able to benefit, help and bring profit to many others.” —St. Ignatius of Loyola

Our Lady of the Lourdes is the patron of our convent in Emmitsburg, MD, where the sisters assist at the National Shrine Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes. This year, around 200 faithful attended the solemn Mass offered in honor of Our Lady, during which many received the Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick and several consecrated themselves to our Blessed Mother. Following the Mass, there was a beautiful procession to the Grotto. This site is the first replica of the Lourdes shrine in France, built just 17 years after the apparition of Our Lady to St. Bernadette in 1858. Totus Tuus Maria!

Ordinations in the Province of the Immaculate Conception

“This is a most glorious day for Holy Mother Church and for the Religious Family of the Incarnate Word!” These were the fitting opening words of the homily of Bishop Chad Zielinski (New Ulm) in the Ordination Mass of four new priests and one new deacon for the Institute of the Incarnate Word. On Saturday, February 7, 2026, these five men were ordained at St. Matthew’s Cathedral in Washington, DC.

Four New Priests:
Fr. Andrew Clement Barth, IVE,
Fr. Miguel Castro III, IVE
Fr. Joseph Diony Midi, IVE
Fr. Peter William Trinko, IVE

New Transitional Deacon:
Dcn. Denis Marcel Lemire, IVE

We ask you to join us in praying for these priests, that they may be faithful to the calling to Holy Orders and be priests conformed to the Heart of Christ.

Mary, Mother of Priests, pray for them!

Last week, our Religious Family participated in March for Life 2026 with our parishioners from across the country including Florida, Chicago, Alaska, Massachusetts, Texas, South Carolina and New York!

We began with the Vigil Mass for Life at the National Shrine of the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception on the evening of Thursday, January 22, 2026 where we joined thousands of pilgrims praying together for life. The next day, accompanied by images of Our Lady of Lujan and the Sacred Heart of Jesus, we marched in the streets of Washington D.C., celebrating the dignity of human life with an immense spirit of joy!

We continued our activities on Saturday, January 24, 2026 with our 2026 Winter Youth Festival for teens and Restore Conference for young adults at the Venerable Fulton Sheen Seminary. The day was filled with prayer, formation, and fellowship!

Help Purchase a Vehicle for the SSVM Juniorate

The Immaculate Heart of Mary Juniorate—our house of studies in Washington, D.C. for sisters in formation—is a place of prayer, study and preparation for missions.

On weekends, the sisters help in parishes by teaching catechism, organizing oratories for children and youth, and sacristy work. They also bear witness to consecrated life on university campuses and help at shrines and places of pilgrimage.

All of this apostolic work would be impossible without one basic necessity—transportation. We are raising funds to help the sisters at the Juniorate purchase a minivan to replace a vehicle that is no longer functional. You can see more details on how to help by clicking the GoFundMe link.

We are so grateful for your generosity, which allows us to see Divine Providence at work!

In New Hampshire, our sisters helped the school children prepare and host a traveling Eucharistic pilgrimage, which is visiting all the Catholic churches and schools in their diocese. Blessed be Jesus in the most Holy Sacrament of the Altar!
