Behind every journey is a family, a history, a hope for something better, and the courage to begin again.

Scripture continually reminds us to welcome the stranger, care for the foreigner, and remember that many of us come from stories of migration ourselves.

This month, we celebrate the beauty, strength, and contributions of immigrant communities—and recommit ourselves to standing alongside families seeking safety, opportunity, and hope.

All throughout the year, the White House has put Christianity at the forefront of its agenda. And while you have Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth telling troops to embrace God and the Department of Homeland Security quoting scripture on social media, you also have some religious leaders resisting President Donald Trump’s agenda and his approach to power.
So how are Latino evangelicals, a group with growing political power, handling aligning their faith with their politics?
In this episode of The Moment, and are joined by two religious leaders on different sides of the Latino Evangelical mindset: Pastor Samuel Rodríguez, a faith advisor to Donald Trump, and Reverend Carlos Malavé, president of the Latino Christian National Network and an outspoken critic of the president.

We have an exciting and meaningful moment ahead of us — and we want you to be part of it!

The Latino Christian National Network will host a historic Worship Service of Lament and Hope, celebrating the journey and extraordinary contributions of immigrants as our nation marks its 250th Anniversary. This is our moment to raise our voices together in public witness, and we are calling on all the denominations that journey with LCNN to join us!

The service will be held on Sunday, June 28, at 5:00 PM at the National City Christian Church in Washington, D.C. Whether you are in the DC area and can join us in person, or across the country — there is a place for you in this movement. We invite churches everywhere to host watch parties during our live stream, or to hold your own local services that echo our shared message of welcome, dignity, and hope for immigrants.

Together, our witness will be heard from coast to coast!

We will be sharing more detailed information in the coming days. In the meantime, please find the flyer attached, and do not hesitate to reach out with any questions:
