Dear BiR Community –
As you know, Black in Robotics (BiR) is a new organization that was born to address the systemic inequities found in our robotics community by focusing on three primary pillars - community, advocacy, and accountability. We want to bring the robotics community together around these initiatives!
We are pleased to work with IEEE IROS: https://www.iros2020.org in hosting of three events during IROS!
The first two events are the Black in Robotics at IEEE IROS 2020 Conference: Launch Event and the Black in Robotics at IEEE IROS 2020 Conference: Student Engagement Event! These events are offered with the generous support of Amazon!! With generous support from the Toyota Research Institute, a new BiR video series will also be produced which highlights the excellence and diversity of robotics researchers, to be premiered during the IROS 2020 On-Demand Series (stay tuned for another email request on this latest activity).
The first 100 BiR member registrants for each event will receive an Amazon swag-bag of goodies to celebrate our first launch event (to become a BiR member, please fill out the form on our website: www.blackinrobotics.org)
