🔥What an incredible Sunday service! Dr. Andrew delivered a powerful sermon titled “Because Time Is Short,” reminding us through the Book of Ecclesiastes that there is a season for everything—a time to be born and a time to die.

We have no idea when our time on earth will come to an end. Because of that, the question we have to ask ourselves is: How are we living? Are we ready? 🤔

We all have plans, dreams, and things we want to accomplish, but are we bringing those plans before the Lord in prayer and surrendering them to His will? Sometimes, we can become so focused on our own plans that we forget that God’s plans are greater. The Lord will thwart what is not according to His purpose.

So, are we truly able to pray, “Not my will, but Yours be done”?

What an incredible service filled with fellowship, worship, and a powerful, fire sermon! 🔥

Michael Schafer delivered a powerful sermon on Trust and Tenacity, reminding us that one of the greatest dangers to Christianity is complacency. As disciples, we are called to grow, persevere, and trust wholeheartedly in the promises of God. The question we each must ask ourselves is: Are we surrendering to the Scriptures, or are we living in disobedience by seeking to glorify ourselves instead of God? 🤔

After the powerful sermon, Valentina led us to the foot of the cross for communion. She vulnerably shared how, in this season of her life, God has been exposing areas where she needs to trust Him with outcomes that are beyond her control. She spoke about learning not to take control when she sees people she loves struggling, but instead to entrust them to God. Through this, she has realized that she is not called to be the Savior of her family or friends-Jesus is.

Mike then inspired our hearts with the contribution message, reminding us that God’s Kingdom is not a matter of talk but of action. He challenged us to truly value God’s Kingdom so that we give, serve, and sacrifice with joyful hearts, knowing that every act of generosity advances God’s mission. 👏🏾

We also had a placed membership from our sister church in Phoenix. 😃

What an incredible service filled with fellowship, worship, and a powerful, fire sermon! 🔥

As we continued our series on Mental Health, Dr. Andrew talked about Depression. We were challenged to take our thoughts captive to transform our minds and keep them pure from negative thoughts that can arise from discouragement and disappointment. The question for all of us: Do we consistently take our thoughts captive and make them obedient to Christ? 🤔

He also shared how we need to fight for a stubborn joy and hold on to hope even when we are waiting for our prayers to be answered. Even when our prayers are not answered, the Lord needs to be our portion, so we do not become idolatrous toward the things we are praying for. The question for all of us: Is Jesus truly Lord of all, or do we have idols that are competing with God in our hearts? 🤔

After the powerful sermon, Justin and Erika led us to the foot of the cross for communion. Erika shared her journey of learning to get her value from God. Then the Peraltas inspired our hearts with their contribution message, reminding us that everything we have comes from God and to be grateful for God and His Kingdom. 👏🏾
