On Sunday 24th, at 9.30 am (Rome time), Pope Francis will preside the Eucaristic Celebration on the occasion of the 39° World Youth Day!

Follow live on Vatican News the Mass and the traditional handing over of the WYD symbols (the Youth Cross and the Icon of Mary Salus populi romani).

The handover will take place during the Holy Mass and will be carried out by the young people of Lisbon – organizers of the WYD 2023 – to the young people of Seoul – organizers of the next WYD Seoul 2027.

Pope Francis just released a short follow-up message to all young adults and youth around the world, on the 5th anniversary of his landmark letter to and about young people, "Christus Vivit," and ahead of the 40th anniversary of the first international gathering of young people in Rome in 1984 (the "seed" of World Youth Day). It's a beautiful message, perfect for Holy Week. Enjoy!
