NCSEJ commends the US House of Representatives for passing the supplemental bill in support of Israel and Ukraine. Today’s vote was a bipartisan message in support of freedom, democracy, and the fight against terrorism.

Two days ago, a Member of Congress stated that linking aid to Ukraine with aid to Israel is antisemitic because Ukrainians are N***s. This is an outrageous assertion. that echoes misinformation and propaganda promoted by Russia that antisemitism is an integral part of Ukraine. Contrary to these false and outrageous claims, there is no pattern of hostility toward members of the Ukrainian Jewish community. In fact, Ukrainian Jews play a prominent role in the Ukraine government, including the presidency.

With the rise of antisemitism worldwide, it is important to recognize countries, such as Ukraine, that are working to combat hatred and prejudice in their societies. We continue to support Ukraine's independence and territorial integrity and urge Congress to pass the supplemental bill for security and humanitarian assistance for Israel, Ukraine, and Taiwan.
