The youth group will be conducting a fish fry/ car wash on Saturday morning April 30th on the corner of North Capital and Riggs Road NE. Come by, Jonathan and I along with the rest of the group will wash your car and prepare a meal for you! Proceeds will go towards our trip to Orlando for the United Church of Christ National Youth Event

The Plymouth Youth Group will be participating in the UCC National Youth Event, taking place in Orlando Florida. The event will take place on July 26- July 30 2016.

We will be lodged at the Disney Coronado Springs Resort in Orlando, and have extensive access to all of the Disney parks. I have attached a brief overview of the event, but please take a look at the website dedicated to the National UCC Youth Event.

As summer approaches, many young people will take advantage of time between school years to gain skills and experience while also serving their communities.

Today, President Obama announced his Administration’s plan to support young people across the country during the summer.
As part of this initiative, which includes many public-private partnerships with local leaders, our agency is committing up to $15 million in college scholarships during the next three years to launch Summer Opportunity AmeriCorps.

Americorps are collaborating with the National Summer Learning Association, other organizations, mayors, nonprofits, and other partners to develop service and service-learning projects that will enable up to 20,000 youth to gain new skills and earn money for college.

We need an accurate count of who we will be making deposits for.
